Teleporter Puzzle

The teleporter puzzle and the Pit puzzle on the 'Stores'
level of Dungeon Master made me wonder how hard a
teleporter puzzle could be. I was inspired to make one.

The rule was that I could use nothing but standard DM
pressure pads and teleporters. . . no counters, intermediate
logic gates, etc. It had to fit in a 3x3 room. The result is at:

Cheating is not only allowed, it is encouraged. Get a copy
of CSBuild and see what you can do. How few moves can
get through the puzzle? Can you make one that requires
more moves?

Edit: Another rule was that there could be no dead-ends from
which the game could not be won.

Without really cheating (I mean, I tried to look at the editor but didn't understand anything :), I managed a little 114 (from enter to pick up apple).

But I think that was far from optimal.

Indeed, I did 58 at the next attempt :)

48, and I doubt I can do any better. It includes 17 moves to get to the tile next to the first pressure plate, and 2 moves (turn, pick) to take the apple. The puzzle itself is solved in 29 moves.

Is it a feature that the last teleporter doesn't "work"?

Amazing. 29 moves is much better than I did myself.

Could you make a recording of your best effort and send it to
me, please? Pretty please? With sugar on it?

You have discovered and taken advantage of a bad bug in
the puzzle. One of thje teleporters was set to teleport only
objects, not the party. I fixed it and the new version is at:
