I guess you are referring to the room of King Filius with the little, hidden switches? As far as i recall I had no real problem opening the movable wall to get the iron key. Did you push all four buttons?

RTC has the step movement etc but of course you couldn't port Tiggy. Maybe when you try the game again with a reincarnated character you can try out RTC
