level 5 switches
i am in a room with 4 switches can anyone give me the correct order so i can get the other key.
any help would be appreciated

If that is indeed where you're stuck, if I remember rightly I just get it these days by running round pressing them all in random order till the wall opens

If you imagine each one like a toggle switch, even though there is no visible indication of it. There are only two buttons you need to press - I beleive the two on the right of the room. Just keep pressing them, keeping in mind the toggling effect - there are only 16 combinations to try, as long as you keep track of which button you have pressed

That seems a bit excessive. After eleven randompress millions of buttons a million times
presses you have 51 percent chance of opening the wall.
After 22 presses a 75 perent chance. After 33 presses
an 87 percent chance. After 44, 93 percent. After 100
presses a 99.9984 percent chance. My pocket calculator
won't do a million without a bit of mental legerdemain.

t is combinations, you have to have the and/or gate targetted by the four switches in a certain state, each switch toggles the state, and you have to have all four switches making the and/or gate 'on' - that 'once eahc in any order' isn't right, that doens't free the room - i think you must do it left to right and solve it without realising ....
