RTC CSB Elven Boots

How do I get at hte Elven boots and the stormring at 03/19/15 (Encyclopaedia coordinates)? Entering that corridor teleports the party immediately into the pit at the end of the corridor.

Komm zur bunten Seite der Macht!

Re: Don't need Ros

Already got it. And it is well possible to do it from the Ros-side. This way it is possible to subdue the Dead-End-not working error in some RTC versions.

Re: CONFIRMED BUG!

It is possible to subdue this error, stepping on the illusionary pit on 01/33/22 (Encyclopaedia coordinates), the one right front (south) of the floor switch that closes the pit before the Ku-Corbum, so you can walk from the Ros-Corbum to the Ku-Corbum.
Komm zur bunten Seite der Macht!

Re: Problems with Dmute & CSB

Yes, choosing CSB Lvl 6 from the Dungeon.Dat and only Lvl 6 will bring up Lvl 04 of CSB. Since playing CSB currently only in RTC, I do not have an Emu-CSB/CSB4Win installed, and I have no csbsave.dat mini.dat. Can I get just a csbsave.dat anywhere without having to download another CSB and start a g...

Re: Problems with Dmute & CSB

Ok, I´ll try. Yet the strange thing is, that I have been looking at a CSB Level (I examined the Supplies for the quick area) after opening the Dungeon.Dat and choosing CSB-Level in the menu.

Problems with Dmute & CSB

I´ve got a problem with using DMute to have a look uopn the CSB levels. This worked only a single time, but then, the programm crashed somehow and since then, I´m always shown only the corresponding DM-Level, no matter what I do, although I did´nt save anything (I opened the Dungeon.Dat). Even downl...

Re: Rabbits Foot

I don't know how it is actually in the ftl programs, but I think, it would make more sense, if luck is decreasing when you're saved by luck: luck is like a piece of soap, it uses up.

Re: Rabbits Foot

It increases an internal character skill called "luck", which is useful in combat. If a character misses, there is a check of luck, which maybe enables the character to succeed, but using luck this way decreases it at the same time.

I had an version on amiga once, where time always stood still after changing level, so you had to save the game and restart it. The good thing was, that protection spells casted during this state lasted forevermore from then on :-))

Funny though, I had an Amiga version where only the Gry Lord appears and the animation didn´t appear, but then I got an original disk with the whole end.

I suppose that it wouldn´t be much more effort to include a direct timer command than it would be to program the behaviour of such a monster.

Re: Staggering gameplay (v0.18)

I only had this problem once in V0.16, and it turned out, that it was just another task in the background of windows (the windows update in this case) was disturbing the performance of RTC. So maybe you have some other tasks open beside RTC?

Re: Missile weapon ideas

Hmm if I think it over, I have to admit, that a chest-style quiver that can be carried in the ready hand or the large scabbard on the belt would be much more suitable to DM than a EOB-like one. Such a quiver-item should contain space for 10 arrows (although 8 might be more easy to implement), which ...

What about a chest-like book-item, which can only contain scrolls or pages (similar to the idea of implementing a chest-like quiver).

Re: New objects

Ok, I admit a chest-like quiver would suit better than an EOB-like one. Yet, doing some archery myself, I think, it should be possible to have more than 5 or 8 arrows available (I´d say 10 or even 20), so either the quiver should have more than 8 empty places (say 10) or empty quivers should be auto...

Re: Stackable inventory

Good idea. Other items could be stacked also in the bagpack, for example coins wouldn´t need as much space as a sword anymore. Yet the stack mode shouldn´t be deactivated automatically, or it wouldn´t be possible in the above example to grab the falchion from the characters hand, shoot a lightning f...

Re: Action icons

I strongly support th idea of a "draw item" icon. by the way, it would be nice, if ammunition would be automatically drawn first; I mean, if a monster is crawling up the floor, it would make sense first to throw the knive in your hand, then the knives you have on your belt and then draw yo...

Unsolvable savegame

Well, I´m still busy with V0.16, so I don´t know whether this bug still applies: Since the appearance of Lord Librasulus is not bound to a character possessing the unloaded firestaff entering the tile before the gate, but to the firestaff itself being on the tile before the entrance, it is possible ...

Might have nothing to do with it: but, I had a similar problem, you, know, just getting a black screen when starting RTC, and it was caused by the activated remote desktop in Netmeeting, and all worked fine after deactivating that.
