[Not a bug] Difference between Numenstaff in RTC vs. DM2

This isn't a bug, just something I remembered from playing the original game. The Numenstaff fired a burst of three fireballs when you used it instead of a single fireball. It's not a huge issue, just something I noticed.

I fixed the problem with the RA Key. I had deleted the monster that originally dropped it and then forgot to add it to a new one.

What about it did you feel was too easy? I know some of the puzzles are probably harder in the original. I have not played Theron's Quest. I don't know if it's because ...

(RTC) Theron's Quest Remix Demo

Here it is for download: http://home.comcast.net/~cburton98/onlinestorage/tq_demo.zip

I would appreciate any feedback you can give.

This is more inspired by Theron's Quest than a direct conversion.

Thank you whoever added RTC to the subject line as I forgot to. It was last compiled with 0.44 ...

I really missed having these two minions as well until I figured out alternate solutions to the puzzles I originally used a porter or scout to solve. I have looked at trying to add a porter minion in and I can honestly say that to add the minion maps into the game would probably take a lot of work ...

You could have the wallitem set as a trigger and have it activate the first sound item and also a relay set on a delay that will activate the next sound item.

I've also been working on a Theron's Quest version for RTC, but I'm just using the original for inspiration and altering most or all of the maps and adding a bit here and there. I was originally going to have a 32x32 main "overworld" map and have each dungeon entered from a location on the map, but ...

I just used OH IR ROS and hoofed it. After falling over and over I started timing a single opening and managed to get past it in one try after that. It just takes some practice. Of course, there are usually multiple ways to solve things.

So you have created a version of the DM2 dungeon that features the old grafics?

I only replaced the creature graphics for now. I don't really notice much of a difference, if any, between the SCD wall and item graphics and the current RTC ones. If you would like I can zip up the new graphics into ...

I was on the right track with the scorpion, I just didn't realize I had to drink it that many times. However, the Neta altar had me completely stumped so I appreciate the help. Once I got past those two I figured the rest out. I really did like this module and I hope you make more puzzle-oriented ...

I really prefer the 16 color graphics over the 256 color ones, but I've only played the Sega CD version before playing it again via RTC. As someone else said, I feel the older style graphics keep it more in feel with the original DM. I've been ripping the bitmaps for the monsters from my disc with ...

I didn't actually get a PC until 1999, so the only version I have played of DM2 is the Sega CD version. It runs kind of slowly, but I never had much problem with it.

[Fixed for V0.44] Guard Minions in RTC-DM2

They are supposed to have the same attack as the Attack Minion.
Currently all they do is float there, prevent movement and absorb
damage.

I was hoping the Sega CD music was just CDA tracks on the disc but they are not. I really like the music that plays when you enter a shop and the music for entering Skullkeep. Any idea how to extract it from the disc? Here's the contents of the disc:

I dont think the porter minion spell works in RTC DM2.

The spell isn't active in the RTC version. Even if it were, there is no map currently to direct the minion with. I don't know how difficult it would be to create one in RTC as I haven't really looked at it. I've just found ways around using ...

I am stuck on the level where you have to use the scout minion to block the ZO bolts to close the pit.
I got past this with OH IR ROS. Just have it ready to cast, step back onto the switch and then step forward and cast the spell. You just have to time your taps on the keys right.
