It pains me to vote for that Commodore thing, but the graphics are indeed classier. Not in all cases mind - the merchants (for example) are better for the PC, though still a little too cartoony.

I knew people would cheat if I didn't obfuscate the image name, but I'm surprised by people not knowing the game that well. Actually, I don't think I've met many people that know the game, so it's not that much of a surprise.

Phantasie III is a little Ultima-y, but far superior for me. Perhaps it's ...

By the way, have you played CSB yet? If not, I suggest playing it before DM2, since it is a lot closer to the original DM.

I played CSB back when it came out and will probably play it on RTC soon. DM has just dominated two days of my spare time though so I'm giving it a short break! I didn't get ...

Hi all, especially Ameena.

Just played DM through RTC and loved every minute of it - many memories, and it's scary how much of it came back! All the important spells were easy to remember - not the DO KATH RA or whatever, to me a fireball is (power)44 - and it was most enjoyable reliving the ...

Only one RPG game beats DM from back in the day

Only one RPG game beats DM from back in the day, and it's represented in my avatar (anyone guess?). No, it wasn't as revolutionary and was not as popular, but for me it's simply the best fantasy game of the era.
