Re: Memorable Moments...

I know it's bad form to bump your own thread, but still :)

I remember the thrill of encountering a new monster - what especially sticks in my mind is the metallic crash of the Deth Knights (and the inevitable "what the f**k is that?!" upon hearing that amazing effect), and then the gleeful shock ...

Re: Common experiences

"(v) Bringing the bones you found on one of the later levels back to an altar of vi, and being disappointed that no-one appeared."

Absolutely. I was completely expecting a champion to appear, thank me for saving them and then run off. I also remember part of the story in the manual where the Grey ...

Re: Cool stuff you've found on the web

Turn it up loud, James Horner's score is fantastic... and the scene itself is so uncool, it's very cool:

Re: Memorable Moments...

Hello everyone - can I just say how thrilled I am? 2 and a half years later and my thread is still getting responses, I'm honoured, thank you all so much.

Even after all these years and my recent purchase of a PS3, I still hold Dungeon Master up as one of the best games I have ever played.

And for ...

I live in shame...

Has anyone played Final Fantasy XII?

I'm so sorry, it has very nearly overtaken my love of Dungeon Master. I didn't think it was possible but still - the Bestiary, good grief those Rare Game... it just overtakes Dungeon Master at every turn.

I am shamed, I apologise to myself and everyone else ...

This is a bit lame but anyway:

I watched "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang" last night for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it - except the 'bringing everyone to life at the end' bit, which didn't quite fit but on the whole an entertaining couple of hours...

And an underrated book - "The Eyes of the ...

Cleavage?

I assume you're fixated on Syra as well then!

I know I'm about to approach my first, ahem....

Are we referring to the DM knights as Deth Knights as per CSB? If that is the case then I'm about to encounter my first Deth Knight after 10 years!!! I can't wait to hear that solid, crunching ...

Hi all,

To George Gilbert - everything's working OK now - thanks!

Wuuf's a GIRL!? In many ways, that comes as something of a relief...

And I never thought that my first ever topic would be a three-pager!

Thanks for everyone's memories! I just found the Diamond Edge sword! Whoa!!! Poisonous fumes ...

I just checked the module file, Beo and there's no dm.sv0 file. I lost my game! The Mog man had just become an Artisan Wizard!

Actually, I don't mind too much. Just another excuse to play the game from the start again. But obviously I don't want the game to consistently fail to save.

Oh and thank ...

Well, I chose original DM at the menu and also I did check the RTC version - neither of them had saved games on them!

I was vexed. I can't think of anything else it might be.

That's very true.

As it happens, I was being sarcastic but having just re-read it, I do come across pretty mean-spirited, especially considering that it's pratically my first day...

So I do apologise and also made a mental note not to be sarcastic / ironic in writing - it is very hard to convey ...

Ra Keys, Kelly - I haven't even been thinking about keys! The Winged Key was my favourite, so unique, I recall I threw it around a bit to see if it would fly further...

OK Ameena!

They'll always be Ethereal Triffids to me - and we are talking about the same thing!

But what more could you expect from a Red Dwarf fan?

What did you call Gigglers? I used to call them Laughing F~*#ers. You?

Anyone else have any odd names for creatures?

But I never would have thought of calling 'rusters' rusters, you know? They were 'those weird, scurrying, hard armadillo things."
