Dungeon Master Forum

So I've managed to get my wall sets as an option, however I'm unable to find a way to apply different wall types in my dungeon as it is in DM2, where you have forest & dungeon on the same level.

I've taken it upon myself to map out the entire Undermountain, and I've reached in my mapping the cavern ...

How do you get rid of Write Protection?


Lessee here what I did was:

To Get Rid of Write Protection
1) Right Click on the RTC folder
2) Selected Properties
3) Then under the General tab, there was a checked in box that said read only...I unchecked it and that was it. Oh, you hit OK after ...

Thanks man. Well I've overcome the error thing. I did find where you can check, and for some reason even when I don't load the dungeon again it doesn't tell me the same error...and I didn't touch a thing.

Oh well. I did get rid of the read only thing. Thanks for the assistance.

Hmmm, that's where I actually got that error was when I went back into the editor...as I notice it usually tells you what errors are there...I'll go in and check a little more.

I also was given lip from the computer when I checked out the sound effects of a triggered object. Gave me something like ...

So you're right, placing the config info at the bottom certainly works...however I have recieved a rather obsucre error on getting it to run. I load up my test game to find two identical errors:

Ah, I did indeed take a screenshot of the errror...however it is on my system at home and is using dialup, so given the time I'll stuff the image into photobucket or something and post here...it's just the matter of the bloody wait that's all.

:lol: I've been lucky enough to get the RTC running on my system and had finally been able to play DM2 for the first time. I liked much of the changes added to it, stores, moveable items, varied graphics. However I thought it would be as extensive as the first DM...Maybe it is, and the extra goodies ...

Sounds like you've been working on that for awhile now judging on the amount of detail you're presenting for classes & abilities and such.

It sounds interesting...does this system have any particular name? Is it a world based setting? Are their any books/novels that have influenced your creation in ...

The guys at work here have found something annoying to pass the time...so far the record for it is 36.141 seconds....it's annoyingly addictive and you'll probably gain ninja levels playing it.

True, you do have more storage space. But it is more difficult to dodge fireballs and missles with two people if you're shot at in narrow corridors.

The starvation thing was always a pain I found with 4 people as you were constantly having to watch your supplies...That's why I found one person easy...plus they gain levels quicker when you only have one person doing all of the work.

Damn, so many memories. I woudn't know which really gets to stand out. I found the Roaring/barking rats hilarious...and learned that their bite was worse than their bark.
