I tried running this Application under Windows 2000; then I do not have the trouble I reported.

In case, you know, what do you get running this Application under Windows 98 or Windows 98 SE?

There are games "Betrayal from Krondor"? "Diablo"? where armors and swords get damaged when used. When they get too much damaged, they collapse, there are ways to repair them to avoid loosing them.
I am just curious to know about RTC.

My posts (gone) were to remind the obvious: tools will not do the job for you.
There are other tools around.

I'm amazed that you see something relevant in gab2001uk.
I only see faith about Micro$oft products.
The only tiny relevance is that an editor development needs some sort of data base and some compiler.
Acces and Visual Basic will not do the work for you.
For Windows apps I mostly use Borland C ...

These are only tools...
And M$ tools.
Micro$oft is not the solution. Micro$oft is the probleme.

I remember vaguely: One in the giant spider lair, another one in a locked (sapphire key ?) room on the way to the firestaff.

You won't beleive it:
The best service I received was to be fired from school while I was yong, fired from work while I was getting old.
It did make me much better. I understood it much later, but beleive me that's true.

BTW To George: what about hooks in RTC to open it to user's extensions, in partcular, giving acces to the API windows. ( this for hard core C programmers ).

How come there is so little excitement about a RTC editor?
A fully successfull game needs: engine + editor.

While playng the original CSB on an Atari St I got stuck there....killing all knights while refusing to retreat (boosting my party members with "bro ku" as much as i could )
Well..later I found that the dead end opens.
Now:
Retreating backwards while the knights first attack you is the way to do it.

I got DragonFlight running with your files..
However, it is very unstable, sound and display ugly, extremly slow,mouse click is painful.
My puter has a AMD K6-2 300 MHz with 96Mo RAM.
Is it powerfull enough to expect good results ?

I used WinRAR version 2.71

I got two files Dflight.rar and Dflight.r00.
WinRar does not decompress. It says "Unknown method in file" for all 5 files. WinRar does see 5 files KICK31.ROM, aADF,bADF,Dragonflight.UAE,WinUAE088R8.exe.
I checked Compression/decompression for my WinRar install. All seems well.......

I remember that dead characters do not eat and do carry your loads in their backpacks.
I do not think I had to kill other heroes to get more food.

Please send me all files in a .zip file.
I tried the german version after I got the german manual that I needed to know the passwords.
Got 4 problems
-passwords only work about 40%.
-game freezes regularly to restart after some timeout.
-game bugged at the end of first dungeon: dungeon became wrong ...
