Re: Diabolical Demon Director Dragon
i have always preferred close combat because i've thought that i get the most experience that way. how much experience your characters gain if you kill monsters with pits, doors, falling/teleporting on them etc.?

Re: Diabolical Demon Director Dragon
horn of fear is quite useful here. you can avoid falling down the pits by retrieting back to the corridors leading to the doors. if the dragon follows, blow the horn like a mad man and you'll scare him away :) you'll have some time to prepare healing potions while the dragon restores his courage ...

Re: DM3D
Steve,
Sorry for not answering you last time. I was going to, but I seem to have forgotten. I would like to continue this discussion offsite - my email address is petrih@madonion.com.
Indeed, some kind of co-op would be very nice. At least we could share some ideas, if not code.
Looking forward to ...

still alive & kicking!
Just wanted to pop in and inform you that the project is still alive and kicking. The current version is a totally rewrite over the old one and it allows doors, pressure pads, switches etc.. Also sounds are supported nowadays.
I'll release a new version as soon as I can get some new graphics from ...

graphics - fireball explosion transparency
It seems that rtc is blending fireball explosions using 50% alpha transparency which makes them look a bit like red fog clouds instead of fury red gloom. Any changes that they'd be using additive blending mode (background + explosion) in the next version?

Re: Rulez!
We haven't planned multiplayer support, at least not yet... I think we'll go for nice story and good gameplay instead - nice stories are hard to create in multiplayer environment IMO

Re: it's great..
Thanks for the offer but I don't think I have enough time or interest to make it commercial. Moreover I don't see it could be a commercial success being kinda old fashioned and all.
I'm already working on some commercial software projects, and DM2000 is just intended to be a fun/freetime project of ...

Escape from Dragon Mountain
Hi,
I'm developing a new DM clone called 'Dungeon Master 2000' (just a project name - the final game will not be called this).
EDIT: This project is now called 'Escape from Dragon Mountain' - B.
EDIT: The demo can be downloaded from this shared OneDrive in the Clones folder. File: efdm.zip ...

Re: dm2000 exe
Thanks for the comments.
Variable screen sizes and all kinds of special effects like transparency, lighting and shadows are definitely doable with 3D acceleration. Also, dynamic lighting is no problem. Still my goal is NOT to create eye candy, but concentrate on the game play. Of course the world ...

This is basically just an internal test version, so do not expect anything amazing or playable.

RTC is great!! (new dm project info too...)
Hi all!
This is my first post to this board, so please bear with me :)
I just wanted to pop in and congratulate you all involved in the project; RTC is great!!
I'm a old fan of DM and I've played probably all DM clones out there (eob series, knightmare, captive, dm, csb etc.) and I still think ...
