I've already tried shields, and they help a lot against a single beholder, though two can still wipe me out if they attack in quick succession. I must have missed the wand somewhere, but I'll look out for it ...

Hi, what's the best way to deal with beholders? I've killed every monster on my way through the game, so my team shouldn't be weak, yet two or three of my adventurers die from one attack. The only way I've been able to defeat them is to use fireballs, only stepping into their line of sight briefly ...
