I have downloaded DM 2 but can not get it to run, I keep getting " the parameter is incorrect" I am running windows xp. Any idea what to do or will it not run in xp?

that I know but how do you use it and the scrolls

I don't have the instructions for Dungeon master so could someone tell me how to make the spells work, my torch is out and I have a spell for the torch but don't know what to do.

I am at a part where it says something like drop a valueable item to close the pit, I have dropped everything and I can't get through the force field.
