Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

I had to figure out all the combinations on my own. There are no in-game instructions for Alchemy. I've added the information to the wiki, and, in WIP_008, Zyx included a spreadsheet for the combos. The last bit of Alchemy that I learned was also the best: Major spoiler: 1) Take two chalcedonies and...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

Yes, you can cook dragon eggs, but they're not replaceable. There are an amazing number of things you can do and make beyond DM/CSB abilities. Did you save the black powder from the Mines? Here's a bit of Alchemy for you to try. If you have black powder, you can skip to step 6. 1) Get a stone mushro...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

I only have my champions eat cooked eggs. Cooked VEN eggs are the second highest food source in Conflux. You can cook any egg (except cooked) with a torch. You have to pass the Test of the Burning Hands on the Temple level in order to unlock the thunder spell(lightning). I haven't found that spell t...

You will return to the button room after a certain amount of time. The exception, is the 'For eternity' button. This button is for the Maleficient guild only and is the endgame for them, so never use it. If you chose this option, you'll need to reload from a previous save.

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

You can use the Ash Stash or don't. There's no requirement to do so, it's just something that you can do. Once you have the Dragon poleyn and a green dragon egg or two, you are done with the Emerald Forest. There is nothing else there to do or get. Don't worry about keys. There are keys everywhere. ...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

My champions should have died from cholesterol poisoning from all the cooked eggs I've fed them. Cerberuses eye color changes depending upon the level and they will also growl in the presence of hidden demons and stone salmanders. They also move about your inventory. The Ash Stash is a short-cut. If...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

Eggs. There's one lock that can only be unlocked with a green dragon egg. There is no other source for them than the adult green dragon in the Emerald Forest. Conflux does allow you to have a pet. There are three Cerberuses that can be obtained, but they don't like inexpirienced wizards. Once you re...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

You won't find antmen in the Sewers. As far as I can tell, the maps where made prior to Conflux 3.8B, so Zyx may have changed it. On the Sewer map, there is writing that says, "How did this open?" with an arrow pointing towards two walls with X's in them. There is a tiny square with a plus...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

Didn't you get the Sewer map from http://dmweb.free.fr/Stuff/conflux3maps/index.html ? There's still one more flask at the entrance to the Tower of Mampang you can get. The Holy armor can only be used by Mophus without penalty. Judging from where you've successfully explored, I wouldn't say you're a...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

You can't kill him or the fire demon if you want the SAR wedding ring. Yeah, about that key at the Topaz cross. It doesn't open anything. There's only one winged key lock and it's in Mophus's guildmaster quest. The flask is the optimal choice as you can never return here. The White Chambers of the C...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

I don't see how you could bypass it. It looks like a flying gargoyle, but it attacks like a poisonous deth knight. You can find your offering in the Temple storage area. If you read the scrolls, Solune has a fetish for making people eat ashes. What many people don't realize is that eating dust (ashe...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

You chose wisely. The weapon replicator can duplicate a weapon, but NOT any special powers. If you had tried to duplicate Leviathan, the new copy would be just a normal axe(executioner). If you reached this area, you must have defeated the Sudden Death. How did you like that battle? The, as you say,...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

Nope, it's just a light source. Torches burn faster in Conflux. When the eternal torch goes out, you can just take it out of your hand and put it back and it will be at full brightness. Funereal weapons poison monsters, but they continually drain your strength for as long as you use them. The only e...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

LOL. If they didn't want to be killed they shouldn't carry usefull items. :) Deth knights are much quicker in Conflux than DM/CSB. You really can't stand your ground against minotaurs. Minotaurs, golems and stone elementals have a knock-back abiltity that will push your party back two tiles if they ...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

I tend to ignore most helmets once I get a dexhelm. You found the Altar of the Assault. I don't think you can win by standing your ground. All the invaders come from the north. The trick is to keep them separated. Deth knights, minotaurs, and greater orcs are the primary threats. I go north until I ...

Ahh, I see now. Those aren't antmen, those are cog knights. Antmen drop clubs, cog knights drop cursed spiked maces and rust. Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

Solune's trap is controlled by dust, as in you can't have any in your inventory. Ashes can be eaten, but they will reduce your water level. If you have any specialty dust that you want to keep, you should drop it before going into that hallway. Those golems are weak. Only the power-golem you fought ...

Congratulations, you found the old road to Moria. As I stated ealier, many bashable doors require a strength >= 60. Some doors can be only be bashed with an axe or fireball. While it's not strictly necessary, Conflux really encourages you to clear out each level before going deeper. It's not that it...

You'll also need that mace of order. The scroll isn't important, it's just an item of reference. It was in the alcove next to the EE blessing. The wall next to that pit in the sewers should read "Pit D". You want to explore to the east where the giant slugs are. Look for a hidden switch th...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

The puzzle is located below the Apprentice level. Unfortunately, you need to do a lot of work to get there. You'll need to find 4 emeralds and 4 rubies before you can even open a door on the Emerald level. Alchemy in Conflux is just as you have stated. An object in each hand and a new action will be...
