Re: Underkeep trailer gives strong EOB vibes.
What if you don't want to fight something, though? In DM you can just be like "Nope, not dealing with that right now..." and turn around and leg it. If it's turn-based does it force you into combat mode as soon as you see an enemy and then you're stuck fighting it until one side dies?

Re: Underkeep trailer gives strong EOB vibes.
Oh yeah I saw it said "turn-based" and I'm not even sure how that works in a game like that. Does everything just freeze when a monster comes on the screen so you can't just run away or something?

Re: Underkeep trailer gives strong EOB vibes.
Just had a look at its Steam page and watched the teaser/looked through all the screenshots. Yeah, it certainly has vibes of all those older games like DM and Ishar and all that.

Re: One more for the road...
Can confirm I like the "Thrust" attack, yes, as I found it to be the best balance of damage vs speed. In DM I go for the rapier, then Delta Blade, then finally the Inquisitor, which doesn't get much use since there's not much left to stab other than the Dragon at that point. In CSB I seem to recall ...

Re: Dungeon Crawler Framework for Unity – looking for testers and feedback
I've heard of Unity as I know it's used to make games, since I see the logo (or at least the name, usually on a loading screen pre-main-menu) on plenty of games I've played. That's basically all I know about it, like I don't know if it needs programming knowledge or anything. The word "framework ...

Re: Dungeon Crawler Framework for Unity – looking for testers and feedback
I'm...not attacking you? I'm trying to find out what you're about because you're a completely new random stranger who's wandered in here without even mentioning the main subject matter that this forum is about. Most new "members" we seem to get these days are AI/spambots rather than people actually ...

I meant that your original post only implies that you're here to develop something you want to sell, and not to actually engage with the community about the games this forum is about. You also still haven't said whether the art was actually made by a real person or not.

Re: So, tell us about yourself...
I do seem to remember a while ago (well, probably about 15 years or something now :D) there were some issues with dodgy members/spambots or something, and being able to change avatars was something only Admins could do. I don't know if that ever got revoked so it might be that you need to request ...

Re: Dungeon Crawler Framework for Unity – looking for testers and feedback
Well I was just trying to find out whether this thing was actually fully human-made or whether the art and stuff was just thrown together by a computer after a few type commands. If it's legit then it sounds interesting but I can't help but be a little wary of someone who joins a forum and the first ...

I don't know anything about programming or whatever so I don't know what "Claude" is, outside of it being a French(?) name.

Re: Dungeon Crawler Framework for Unity – looking for testers and feedback
So it's like, a bunch of resources to make your own dungeon-crawling game (basicall a map editor) but not actually a game in itself? I mean, I do like making maps if it's not all complicated and stuff, though I'm somewhat tentative about any newly-made stuff because so many people just seem to be ...

Re: One more for the road...
I've never had anything go weird when placing a huge pile of stuff in one square, so if there is a limit it must be pretty high. As for stuff disappearing when you put too much stuff down, I don't know but I could see it being a possibility to save on memory if there are too many items in the ...

Hi, welcome to the forum :). Feel free to reminisce about your times playing DM/CSB etc or just chat about the game. Every now and then we get a new member like you who's played before, but sometimes, even now, we get people who are newly discovering the games and playing them for the first time ...

Re: My login doesn't last, and site is still unsafe.
Well, can confirm that I'm certainly likely using a very old bookmark, since I've had no need to change where it points since I first made it, and whenever I get a new computer I just copy over the entire Bookmarks folder so as not to lose anything.
But whatever you did does seem to have fixed it ...

Just did again today, yes - went to forum, found I was logged out, had to log in and the username/password things had a little pop-up below them saying the site is unsafe/my info is not secure.

Re: My login doesn't last, and site is still unsafe.
Hey, so an update on this from my end - when I went to access the forum just now, I noticed I wasn't logged in (normally I'm perma-logged-in), and when clicking the Username and Password boxes it had a little pop-up thing under them saying the connection wasn't secure. I was still able to log in ...

Re: Back Again
Vorpal Blades are highly useful - I believe there are two in the game (which makes sense, since that's the most people you can ever fit into your front row ;)). Nice for stabbing ghosts to death and stuff. For some reason I can remember the locations of the ones in CSB better than DM, which I really ...

Re: Back Again
Level Three is the one with the six sections accessed off the central hub. Level Four is the one with the purple worms and the Screamer Room. Level Five you can technically skip because the way down to Level Six is right along the corridor from the stairs and there's nothing essential on that level ...

Re: Back Again
Hissssa is one of the more physically-strong starting characters so yeah if your last run was a solo Tiggy (the squishiest of characters!), anyone will seem less difficult. It sounds like you're still going solo, rather than taking a full party, though? So you'll still find it more difficult than ...

For the record, I'm not having any issues here - it keeps me logged in and I get no error messages? Maybe it's a browser thing? I use Firefox.

Re: EQ jester in norrath friend
According to the website, Monsters and Memories was supposed to go into Early Access on the 1st June but they've moved it to the 1st October instead. A quick scroll through the list of races/classes and seeing the image on the homepage with rats and stuff wandering about, yes it is very EQ-ish. But ...

Had a Google of that Monsters and Memories and it looks interesting but it's not out yet, it's not even in Early Access, and when it does come out it's apparently gonna be subscription-based

I think the Junction might be one level below the starting level, yeah, but I can't actually remember for sure. It'll be somewhere around the middle though, I think.
Can't remember about the Ra keys, sorry.
