I think the best option it's maybe to create an option "old school mode" like Legend Of Grimrock. Enable "old school mode" before launching a new game turns off auto-mapping completely and you can't change this setting after starting the game !

We have already many options available for replay DM, get a totally new adventure with improved graphics would be the best I think.
My vote is for option 3.

When I have downloaded "CSB_Windows_x86-32_20151213.zip" I have noticed that a savegame in the slot 2 with characters "I" and "You" is available and we can launch the playback session too. I think it is the same walkthrough available on YouTube.

Finally I finished mastering Level6 all Skills for the party, I think I'll take a break before I maybe trying Archmaster because it is very long specially for Ninja level.

Yes I think it is important to anticipate who will be the front line fighters inside the party before ressurect/reincarne champions. I'm agree with Prince of Elves, it can be very annoying to click on action button 1 and 4 compared to 1/2 or 3/4. You can move champions but not the action button.

I have found more that expected on the DM2 section, a pre-configured DosBox packages with DM2.
I downloaded it and it works perfectly, I no longer need to work on my own DM2 setup with DOSBOX.

I think the best way to run DM2 on modern computer is to use the original installation file with DOSBOX.
I'm currently trying to setup a launchable DM2 game as easy as possible, I think I almost succeed, I just need to click on a shortcult for launch DOSBOX in a combinaison with DM2 game ...

As far I remember on my Amiga 500 I have never been above master 3 for all abilities. The time for gain level become extremely long and laborious after the first levels of Master. I didn't have enough patience to go any further.

Yes I'm really enjoy discovering again DM/CSB, I remember so many time it takes loading both game and particularly CSB, it take more loading time than DM on my Amiga500 and now with CSBWIN both game start immediatly... lol
