I was going to wait until i beat the game to leave my thought on this game but after playing the game for about a week i decided I'm not even going to continue to try to beat the game any longer. I just dont care to continue.Now that i found dosbox and Hatari i found way better games to play that ...

All good i used it to find DM2 old files i needed just a few days ago (to get the sound working).. I use it all the time that's why you never delete an old link they often can be found, if you remember to use waybackmachine. Glad to help. Enjoy the files.

Even though i did like Chaos Strikes Back after beating both of them I Preferred the simplicity of Dungeon Master. Less hidden walls, more clear puzzles.

Plus i encountered quite an issue with running out of keys in Chaos strikes Back ...

Correct there are 3 possible ways to enter the ruby key room, that i know of.

1 -The puzzle that requires all party members to have boots of speed. (the purple line)
2 -The onyx key so i can access the orange area and get the boots of speed and the last winged key.
3 - a winged key so i can ...

Nah im past that part im at the part you need boots of speed to get over the pit to get the ruby key, but thanks. Or you need the winged key to access the ruby key room, but to get the winged key in the center of that room (surrounded by pits) i need the onyx key to access the lever that turns off ...

Been playing for about a week straight now. I have hit a wall considering restarting from scratch because i wasted a few keys that i shouldn't have but i had no idea there were not enough keys in the game to complete it. I hand mapped the vast majority of CSB and DM back in the day with very small graph paper I made on my printer. Obviously some maps need to be cut and pasted together but yeah of course its possible but, you just need clear indicators for false walls/ buttons/ invisible pits/ regular pits. etc ...
