How to edit VI Alter stat modification?

Post by ostard »

Is there any way to remove the health loss associated with using a VI Alter?

How about adding additional stat mods, like loss of Stam and Mana to VI Alter?

Thanks,

Hmm, not sure, it may well be hard coded. Perhaps look to clone the VI altar itself, and see if there is a property associated with the on-click.

If not, you could try to build the effect from scratch, though giving permenant boosts/reductions to stats seems to currently be beyond the engine.

I think Trantor had a thread in the suggestions forum to do with a permenant stat increasing function for dungeon designers to use. I think you might want to add your voice to that suggestion!

The suggestion never came to fruition. I was ask to look into it... I couldn't figure it out, so chances are pretty high that it's near-on impossible at the minute.

Oh, and Welcome to the forums. I hope you have a pleasant stay... :P

Thanks guys... I was hoping someone found a way to eliminate the VI Alter health loss, but maybe I'll give it a crack from scratch like Beowuuf suggestion. If anyone has anything else on this front please let me know.

You can stop the health loss, you just can't go "I don't want hp loss, but I want stamina and mana loss". It's in the main dungeon options.

I looked under the main data and didn't see anything for Resurrect or VI Alter. The only options it has is for Reincarnation. I set both of these to "No Change" and test it, but still had the HP loss.

Sorry, dude. My bad :(
In my defence, I have been quite sick and obviously I mis-saw that window... oops

HP loss is hardcoded in the engine, there's nothing you can do about it. You could add it as a suggestion in the RTC Suggestions forum.
