Save Game problems

After I edit the Dungeon.DAT I can save and load games just fine but after I edit my saved game to give my characters full stats when I try to load the save the game freezes on the load page after i click to load button. I don't mean to be a bother but if any one could help me I'd be eternally thankful.

It sounds like whatever you used to edit the save game broke it somehow.

What program did you use?

DM2CHEAT and DM2EDIT, both produced the same result

have you pushed the stats too much? For instance, you should not go above 170 STrength. Could this be the reason?

The registers in DM1 could accept up to 255 for each stat, but anything more than that - if allowed to be entered - could crash the game. I think the health, etc could actually be above 999 aswell (not sure the actual limit) though it displayed oddly. Again, this was DM1

Ia set all the stats to 999 and it work perfectally thanks for the help :]
