A few questions about FTL Games
I am curious:
1)What part of the world was FTL Games based in? UK? US? Asia?
2)Are there any vids floating around online showing any of its devs speaking about their games?
3)Finally, to the best of your knowledge, has anyone from FTL ever posted here at DM.com? Are they even aware that they have such a rabid cult niche of die hard DM fans?

Re: A few questions about FTL Games
Do you know what the people from FTL are doing these days?
Re: A few questions about FTL Games
They certailny know about DM Encyclopedia, but I doubt if they know about this forum.

Re: A few questions about FTL Games
I said "Yes & Yes" to question 3, pay attention
Both Andy Jaros and Doug Bell have visited this forum, and I believe they've both posted here too, though possibly only Doug did, I can't quite remember.

Re: A few questions about FTL Games
Sorry for beeing a sceptic.. But how will anyone ever know if it really was Doug Bell visiting and posting on the forum, maybe it was someone pulling our leg But if it really was Doug Bell (which I think it was, because I don't think anyone would fool us like that) I would love to be around and say hey!

Re: A few questions about FTL Games
that says it all. They visited this forum for a short time a loooong time ago . I personally think they all totally forgot about it. They will not even think about DM anymore I guess. Long time means more than 8 years, possibly longer.I can't quite remember.
Why these questions in the first place?

Re: A few questions about FTL Games
About 7-8 years ago I interviewed most of the ex-FTL employees for a website I was building and as a result I can tell you for a fact that Doug and Andy know about this place. I've lost touch with them now, but they may well even still visit from time to time, who knows!?
Re: A few questions about FTL Games
That would really be something
Maybe we could ask them for the original DM sourcecode for PC

Re: A few questions about FTL Games
Think the Atari ST just has passed the 25th anniversary - think it was the 18.July 85 when it was presented in Germany.
I've been there, but we hadn't the 100.000 DM for the first pack an exclusive rights for our town.
So another one got it - and can bath in millions today...
Means: DM must have this day too in about two years. My floppies were still readable two years ago- One CSB-disc had one dead picture file.

Let's just stop this and move onto something else about FTL, shall we?

Re: A few questions about FTL Games
Please, no more talk of source code in this thread. If you want to talk about source code, please open a new thread. This thread is about FTL generally, not a source code discussion. I'm fed up of off-topicness destroying interesting threads, especially when the OT is about something that will never be resolved. More source chat in this thread = temporary ban!
