Ok, so since we loose Ian for a week, it's a little hard to do any of the dramatic 'Aurek is dead', etc stuff. I hope no-one minds I jumped a little with the reuiniting bit. And re-oriented on something I kicked off with Westian at the start of the encounter!
It's a little sad we're down money and Ian won't be here, this week so the big 'shall we discuss the major plot element' will be a little bit truncated. Still, Ameena knows lots of stuff (player, the character knows things, without realising it). Westian has been getting fed lots of stuff with all his near-death experiences and brushes with his god recently.
So yes, I present the opportunity to finally start to discuss and even crack properly one of the central mysteries of the game, the mystery of exactly what put everyone in the room the previous game day (and in real time almost 11 months ago!). It would be a cool 1 year anniversary gift for you guys to actually know what's going on, really
Of course, the discussion can get postponed if its decided that carrying on, discussing other things, trying for Aurek after all, pressing ahead to the fall, investigatign the crack, going backwards to the grak-grak's last place, etc is a better use of the time. Or Haynuus can introduce you to his friends on the ledge above!
The direction is, as always, all yours, though I've hopefully given you four or five solid story choices there. Face the plot. Help a friend. Continue the mission (alone). Continue the mission (get grak-graks). Uncover the secret of the cavern (glowing waterfall?)
With Ian out, OB and Ameena, you will be flying solo. You'll have a dejected half-orc in tow, any rolls or info you might need from him we can hand wave until Ian gets back, or I can fill in. So I guess that definitely means Ameena has the weekend off, and then you guys have normal posting for next week.
OB, or Ameena, if you want to discuss OOC any plot stuff, feel free to start a new thread here (to keep the OOC as uncluttered as possible). That will also let Ian pick out those points quickly when he gets back.
Oh, and congratulations for surviving the slow war of attrition that was the encounter. It was close there once or twice, (I think Haynuus was even one perception roll away from being hit, then hit again from drinking a potion, and let's not forget the fun of pitching Westian off a cliff for 5d6 damage followed by sticking leeches on him, or hey, the fact Ameena was pretty close to a mental break down). Still, you guys won out in the end, no one had to die and be reincarnated, Haynuus has faced his Trolin demons and won, Westian has stuck his holy symbol up at the priest, and Ameena had faced her being alone demons, thoguh not sure of the true cost of that yet.
So yeah!
