Well, its in a dungeon...

Post by Sir Handsome »

I dont show this around much, its an abadoned project, but with all the creative stuff here I would like to share. My biggest problem has always been trying for too big a story, and I think if I ever try doing a comic again it will be a small snapshot of a world, instead of some grand story that I would need two lifetimes to draw :)

this is manga size, hand drawn and lettered, some pages were toned with acetate sheets while others were done with a manga program. (seems that most the ones done on acetate were scanned in before I added it)

the first is a promotional piece, a scene that was never reached in the book.

I added some of the early concept work at the end. sorry so big, its meant to be viewed at a much smaller size, about the size of a manga but its a bit of work to resize them all. thanks for looking. my friend wrote the first part, i took over towards the end, I wasnt satisfied with either but I learned a bit about writing, at least for comics.

Nice artwork.

I edited your images into links, because the page load time was a bit rough.

Very nice. I like the establishing shot in the first panel, and also the action stuff in getting free. The rat templar and the dragon under the bridge are cool pieces too. Good work, shame the project was abandoned.

Thanks Sophia.

Beowuuf- it was a shame, but like anything worthwhile it was a bit time consuming. Did you know the term "establishing shot" from comics or some other medium?

It's a pretty well known term, no you didn't use it incorrectly.
