Cheers! Taking a break after posting Westian/Falkor, then I'll resolve the main thread and start you guys onwards again

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
Haynuus examines Petal as she examines the sword. She seems to humm or chant something as she holds the handle in the palm of each hand. Obviously too unwieldy for her yet she does shift it's weight around in her hands with a certain grace. He can't tell what she looks for, it's something innate that she has he presumed.
"I'm hoping Westian and Aurek will just pop around the corner any minute now." he muses. "And I'm ready to hear a good story around a camp fire!"

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
The air elemental tells Ameena that the 'little one' does not perceive the world as Ameena and the elementals do, and that what the peoples of the world hold or cover themselves with are as alien to them as the meanings of the little ones' dances are to Ameena. However, the air elemental does assure Ameena that the little one would only be able to identify and follow those connected to Ameena. Whatever that meant. The air elemental was distracted and apparently moved off, to be replaced by some younger sounding ones trying to listen in on Petal and Ameena's discussion on magic.
The butterfly - or petal dancer as Ameena thinks of it - reacts to Ameena's question, but the reaction is to flutter around Ameena's head once, brushing her nose in a ticklish manner. Whether the butterfly is answering the question, or is simply happy at perceiving attention is not something easily understood.
Haynuus tries to describe the blade and how it feels. Despite the reverence and discomfort with such strange weapons, Haynuus realises he had intuited more things than he would have suspected. Perhaps it is the circlet allowing him to articulate his thoughts better, or perhaps it is simply he is becoming more familiar with his skills and abilities. If that is the case, then surely branching into the field of farming would not be such a challenge to learn!
Haynuus described the odd reluctance of the blade to come to life, but the feel of it when it does allow itself to be used in battle. Petal is able to assimilate all the talk of Haynuus even as she strains to listen to the song of the blade. Rather than hamper her, Haynuus's deep-voiced litany acts both as perfect counterpoint and instructive guide. It does not hurt that Ameena has explained the origins of the blade too.
Petal could already see the potential space the sword blade would occupy. She could sense that there was a semi-intelligent power associated with the blade, perhaps a lesser air elemental or spirit. The power of the blade came from air's natural playfulness but also hatred of things 'fixed' - thus its ability to act like a blade to cut and disrupt anything solid.
However, Petal could feel the spirit was soothed and bound by some form of VI energy. It is this that was providing the 'commands' it would appear under, in line with the song of VI. Hence the reluctance to spark to life at first violence, and the fact it was normally calm and accepting of the binding.
Petal could feel how to - in some ways - bypass the natural ways the sword worked. Sadly, the grip was just too large for Petal to be able to use it. A shame, it would have been a fine weapon. Still, she could proobably advice Haynuus or another wielder of the mental trickery to activate the sword whenever they wished.
Also, it might be possible to bypass the binding of the Vi element to interact directly with the air spirit. Of course, it would be likely that this would disrupt the binding - especially if the interaction was an urge to do anything violent - and so urging the spirit to do anything would most likely destroy the sword in the process.
There we go. Haynuus - or anyone who learns the trick - is no longer bound to delay their attack or action to have the sword work. And could even attack something without being in combat - like hacking a statue, or something. More importantly, if you ever need a 'do or die' effect, you can possibly try to invoke the sword's spirit to do something. Just like Ameena blowing over Garax, or perhaps getting the spirit to destroy something solid, or...well, let's not limit your creativity. But you can destroy the sword in order to try and do something spectacular. Not too spectacular, remember the sword blade normally just cuts things. But still
While Haynuus was explaining, and Petal communing with the weapon, Ameena was being distracted by the restless movement of the butterfly.
-the little one knows you all are not whole- whispered one of the air elementals to Ameena, though it was clearly addressing Haynuus's off-hand comment. -your friends will be here soon, if she is still so restless. The little one can feel how far away they are, now she has touched upon them-
Anyway, your discussions were sweet, especially Haynuus being welcomed in the the murafu community, and also Ameena getting her first subtle lessons in magic! Anyway, I've stopped falling asleep on the job, I'm back. Time to become big darn heroes again

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
Haynuus scratched his backside for a few moments while trying to take in what Petal was telling him. It all sounded quite reasonable but realised that now he knew he had an exploding sword in his hands that the situation would probably therefore arise that he'd need to use it! "Why that's most helpful, thank you." he smiled to her. He wasn't sure if he knew his VI from his OH but was confident that when the need arose... His circlet might have an opinion on the matter.
"The school of magicks completely passed me by." He said to Petal, then avoided adding that he had absolutely no schooling whatsoever. "I suspect you are very fortunate to possess such skill. Do all Pixties have it?"

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
OOC - When did Ameena explain the Oh-blade's origins? I don't remember her doing so - I don't think she's mentioned the sword at all - it was all Haynuus. I did put an OOC note a few posts back to give an OOC description of what the sword looks like and why - maybe you're thinking of that?
BIC - Ameena refrains from asking Petal or Haynuus any further questions as they investigate the latter's elementally-created sword, not wanting to distract them from possibly learning something interesting or important. Her lack of magical knowledge means she probably wouldn't understand much of what they're saying, anyway.
She edges away from Haynuus's side a little in order to better listen to the Air as its multiple voices continue to talk to her. She hopes that mention of those "connected" to her are in fact friends - after all, she's shared (even if such sharing was forced) a definite connection with a completely unfriendly creature until very recently, one she doesn't want to experience ever again.
When the petal-dancer reacts to her inquiry, she immediately wonders what it means, and attempts to gain further information.
"I'm sorry." she says. "I don't understand your way of...speaking. Is there some way you can show me what you mean? I'd love to be able to understand you - do you understand me?"

OOC - Quote: "It does not hurt that Ameena has explained the origins of the blade too." Let's assume Beo meant 'Petal'
Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
No, I was recalling the OOC comments probably, because I had it in my head they were very IC about the operation. So assume the reference isn't there

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
The butterfly skitters off for a moment then came back, clearly in the direction they had last seen Westian and Aurek going in.

Sorry for the delay. I left my house at 11am yesterday and didnt get home till 3:30 today.
Petal turns to Haynuus, the heavy hilt still in hand. She carefully passes the blade back to him as she listens to his question.
"No. People of mine, more magic oriented than other races they are, but...Some of us, called sorcen we are. Born with the ability to see and hear Mana we are. When grow up we do, only one Path for us, in the test. Sorcerer. Not study that path we do, it kills us. Too strong the magic becomes." She thinks for a second about what she learned from the weapon. "Learned I have, the sword, an air elemental bound within appears to be. Magic of VI, water, keeps it there. Helps it. Not unhappy, it is. So, if song of VI you used. Sword work better, it might." She then instructs Haynuus to the best of her ability on how to use the song of VI to interact with the sword more fluidly.
She realizes Ameena is paying attention to a molil'silo a "little brother" as the Pixies call butterflies. The butterfly flits around and Ameena seems interested in its movements.
Petal sings the song of OH at the butterfly, and waits for her companions reactions to the creature.

Haynuus receives the sword with relief and happiness. He still doesn't think of it as 'his' yet. "Thank you. I haven't been born with this magic ability you have, but I suppose each one of us here is strong in one thing or another." He looks at Deephold and assumes beardy-sticky-out-growing is his natural trait. Not as useful, true, but a skill certainly more obvious that that of Petals. "Soon we could see Westian again. I'm sure he'd love to see your soul stone shard as well, Deephold."
With that he starts doing something that he was not accustomed to doing, but with the circlet both in and on his head it was something he felt obliged to do. He got up and went over to the side of the water. Removing each piece of armour in turn he started to wash out the bits of undead human slime and stinky shit that it's original inhabitant had deposited while wearing it. He realised that zombies were neither hygienic nor toilet trained. After washing each piece he would suit it back up again. The armour looked a bit more 'loved' now.

Petal blinks at Haynuus, wondering about the weird bits of metal she sees him pulling off himself, and she has ocassionally seen other humans wearing. That had to be uncomfortable...

The half-orc nervously waves over to the Pixie. Usually it was the women folk that did the washing... And that was only after particularly bloody family gatherings.

OOC - Hey, wtf, I swear I made an IC post the other day...maybe it didn't send or something
. Oh well, I'll have to see if I can remember what I wrote before...
BIC - Ameena watches the petal-dancer, putting her head to one side curiously as she tries to work out what her smallest friend means.
"Do you want us to go that way?" she asks. "I wish I could understand you. Maybe if...if you want us to go that way, could you perhaps land on the ground in front of me? And if that isn't what you want, maybe you could land on the ground behind me instead? And...do you mind if I call you Greenwing? I just thought of it. I like to know someone by some kind of name. If that's alright, maybe you could land...on my head?"

Petal flies up to Haynuus and looks at the bits of metal, caked blood, guts, and half-orc....musk...swirling away in the water.
"This metal you wear, for what reason?" she asks him.

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
"The metal is... For stopping metal. Just as there are spells for shielding against magical fire or poison, the metal protects against what is usually sharp and pointy metal wielded by a profusely swearing Trolin or solider. It is most useful!" He paused for a moment and visualised the Pixie in full platemail. "I think you are disadvantaged to have wings if you want to wear metal. But it's always good to buzz off to the ceiling when a ruction starts in a bar for example." It's at this point in the conversation Haynuus goes tangential. "I once met a human alchemist who instantly took opiates when the fighting started. He claimed it never failed as his mind was floating 8 feet above a now completely flaccid and inoffensive body. Must be fascinating to watch a fight with you collapsed in the middle of it."
"Do pixies know some good... Err, remedies for ailments?"

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
The butterfly dances to the song of OH, touching on the ground and buzzing around each of the group in turn. However, then the butterfly very deliberately lands on the ground infront of Ameena, and turns around slowly to face her for a moment. Its antennae twitch, it flutters its wings once or twice, and then it takes off.
At the mention of a name, the butterfly does a strange figure of eight pattern aorund Ameena's head. There is no indication whether this means 'yes', 'no', or is simply the dance the butterfly wished to do at that time.
Deephold has been quietly praying, and comes out of his revelry as he realises there is some small conversation to do with Westian/ He does not say anything, merely listens in.
While paying attention to the butterfly and Ameena, Deephold also takes the opportunity to clean his own armour - while still wearing it - but apparently taken with Haynuus's fastidiuousness. "The arms and armour have definitely carried to a noble and worthy warrior," saud Deephold, perhaps not realising the reluctance to violence stirred in the half-orc's heart. The dwarf takes the holy symbol he possesses, and gives it to Haynuus. "I have my own symbol. If Westian carried this once, then perhaps you can carry it for now, and pass it to him when we find him."
Deephold then fills his flask, andx drinks the contents. He then inquires, during a lull in the conversation, if any wish potions of strengthening or refreshing.
The butterfly, meanwhile, starts to buzz around Ameena's head and then drift back towards the way Westian left.
There we go, friend has gone

"They say where I come from that if a butterfly flaps it's wings over your head, it will cause somewhere a goblin to be devoured by a hydra. Never understood that one myself. We COULD follow it. Hmmm..." He thinks for a second then turns to face the dwarf.
"Oh normally the only liquid I comsume from dwarvern origins is real ale. But if you have anything that could help me put this Garax out of harms way, I'd love to try some of it!" He then gracefully accepts the holy symbol from Deephold. It has no power over the orc, but it was nice and shiney. "I shall look after it and promise not to porn it." he truthfully replied. It was a reflex reaction to his own experience of lending stuff to his friends, who would then sell it on to those apparently more needy. "I am Westian's guardian, and the least I could do is look after his shiney bits." And with that he hooped the symbol around his neck, and carefully placed it inside his armour.
OOC - Darn it. Haynuus had a flask from Westian, and he had a flask from the undead paladin. And now I've misplaced them both!

OOC - Okay this is getting weird now - I posted a reply this morning and on checking this evening there is no sign of it. Fortunately I always Ctrl-C my posts before I send them, and it happens that this post was the last thing I copied since earlier, and that the computer's kept it in memory even though it's been in sleep mode all day. So I don't have to retype the bloody thing this time...
BIC - Ameena watches the petal-dancer land in front of her, and then puzzles over the creature's movements around her head - she presumes this must be a "no" to her suggestion at calling the creature "Greenwing", and wonders what other name she should use instead.
As the creature flutters away, Ameena looks over to her friends and calls out.
"I think we might be needed." she says. "It seems that Westian and Aurek might be in trouble or something, perhaps. Or maybe they're just delayed for some other reason. But I want to go and look for them - the Air said that the little green one can show us where they are."
So saying, she starts to move over (on all-fours) in the direction the petal-dancer went, after first ensuring that her pouch-belt is secure, but looks back at the others to see if they'll follow.

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
The pixie thinks for a second...
"Well, remedies we have. Natural plants they are made from, for sickness, pain, infection. If speaking you are of plants to change the mind, yes also we have. Once, come to our village a human trader did. Had he...distilled plants. Addictive, they were. Elders of the village, banned him."
Petal's mentor explains addictive drugs to her somewhere in the intro story.
Petal watches the butterfly dance in front of everyone, listening to the unfamiliar cadence of the language spoken around her. She catches words she had no knowledge of, and from the way they are spoken she guesses they are names.
"'West in' and 'Awrik', they are who?" she asks.

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
Ameena looks over at Petal, belatedly now realising that, beign new to the group, she probably doesn't really know what's going on.
"Westian's a half-elf." she explains. "He's a friend of Deephold, who was down here first, but then the rest of us met up, outside this place, and came to look for him. Well, Westian was looking already but the rest of us joined to help. Except we also woke up in a room already in this place and didn't know each other at all, except we already did because we met in that human place when we decided to come here..."
She trails off, having momentarily confused herself, but sets out again, this time choosing a slightly different route.
"So anyway, Westian is a friend. He likes to talk of another friend of his called Lord Larethian, who knows Deephold too, because he's some kind of powerful being called a High Lord which no-one can see but he can still hear them when they call him, or something. Westian's good at making healing potions - he does it a lot, like Deephold. And Aurek's a human. He wears big armour and he gets very angry when there are undead things nearby. Actually, so does Westian. We did have another friend called Falkor, who's a halfling, but he...disappeared. He was wearing some kind of magic...cloak...thing...and he was talking to Soorec and he disappeared and we haven't seen him since. I hope he's alright. I think he disappaered himself, though, rather than be disappeared by someone else. But he was there when we made the Soul Stone too, and he came with us from the beginning, when we all first met...umm...both times. It's a bit...strange, being able to remember all these things all over the place, but they don't entirely seem to fit together because...things seem to have happened in the wrong order, somehow. But I wanted to explain that when we're all together again. Or I could explain it now, but...I don't think this place is far enough from...where we were, so I think someone might be able to know what we're talking about if we think about that person, or something. But I want to find Westian and Aurek for now. Then I can tell everyone at once."
She turns to face the waterfall and looks at the dancing currents of Air around it.
"Thank you again for your help!" she calls. "I hope we meet again one day - you're very interesting."
So saying, she turns and continues to move in the direction the petal-dancer went, but keeps an eye on her friends to see if they're following.
Petal tries to follow the stream of words issuing from the murafu at a high rate of speed. She finally seems to understand that Awrik and West in are friends of her companions. Her head still buzzes with the strain of trying to understand Ameena as the murafu calls out thanks to the waterfall and excitedly begins to move off.
"Leaving now we are, I guess." she says to no one in particular. She closes her eyes for a brief second and touches the VI and OH mana currents of the elementals, sending them a song of thanks for their help.
"For us, you should wait, Ameena murafu!" she calls out to the quickly retreating form of her friend.

Haynuus is surprised at the effect of the butterfly on the Murafu. Perhaps it was true, and little actions such as the flapping of a butterfly wing CAN cause you to jump up in the air as if you have your backside on fire. "Let's go! Come on Mister Deephold, get your flask-filling action started as we're moving!" He was happy to be on the move again, although the dwarf did look like he still needed a bit more rest after being thrown in the air some ten feet a little while earlier.
He was happy to hear Petal was at one with nature and her special herbs. He avoided most of them, but the weed that halflings smoked was most pleasant! "Not exactly medicinal, but Screamers make a tasty topping on beefburgers when sliced and pickled... I seem to be the only person to like them though." he trails off sadly. If he were to become the worlds first Screamer Farmer, his circlet whispered, he'd need a market first.
He lets Petal get up first, and then closely follows behind. He gives a special eye-brow dance to the dwarf and follows the Pixie closely behind, still getting used to seeing such a tiny, beautiful and wonderful creature that can hurl fireballs as if out of a volcano.

@Ameena: Weird your posts are being eaten. Raixel, didn't you have that recently too?[
Deephold looked in slight confusion at Haynuus's words, although nodded at the nobler parts. "I can increase your stamina, speed, or accuracy but I have nothing that would harm another, I am afraid. That is not the path of a priest. At least, not a path I have wished to follow. I will use my own arms for such tasks, and not sully the blessings of the High Lords in such petitions."
Deephold catches Ameena speaking of Larethian and Westian, and listens in. His face becomes cloaded as the murafu speaks. Taking his leave of Haynuus, the dwarf then struggles to outdistance the orc and catch up with the swifter moving murafu and pixie.
"Ameena, wait," says Deephold, already huffing and puffing. "You speak of strange meetings, and of already reforming the stone. And this 'friend' of yours, Falkor." Deephold tries to catch his breath and get his thoughts together as they move onwards. "Can you explain - as clearly and briefly as you feel comfortable with - what you speak of."
Meanwhile, the air elementals all breathed gentle goodbyes that rolled over one another, mixings with the roar of the waterfall.
The lake water did stir once when Petal sang her song. The head of the water elemental from earlier was visible, It watched the group leave impassively, althoguh it did nod its head to them as they departed with some respect. And then, in the blink of an eye, it was gone.
The butterfly, apparently not paying attention to the group behind it, danced and span and drifted off towards the exit to the cavern.
Ok, one last reaction post from you lot, and we'll move out of the cavern. Pick your party order, and also any default actions - types of perception or where your focus will be. Or if you will attempt to keep speaking with one of the party, etc.

OOC - Lol, Ameena's not moving fast - she's moving at a sort of slow trot, and is looking back to make sure the others are following - were someone to have wanted to delay, she'd've waited
.
BIC - Though she doesn't stop moving forward, Ameena manoeuvres herself so that she's now moving alongside Deephold in order to speak to him a little better. She still has the slight problem that his head is quite some way above hers, but she manages as best she can, as she's used to doing when trying to converse with such creatures as the dwarf at the same time as walking.
"Falkor?" she asks. "He's a halfling. He uses magic, too, but he doesn't use it to make potions. He does things more like Petal does."
At this point Ameena glances around in the direction of the flittering pixie, then back to Deephold.
"I mean, he can throw fire and things. I...prefer not to be too close when that happens. But I don't know what happened to him - only that he disappeared. I hope he's somewhere, and that he's alright. Maybe I'll meet him again, one day. Members of his race seem more likely to be friendly than many other races - I can't really remember a time when a halfling ever tried to kill me or chase me away. Well, once, I was sniffing around near one of their homes and one of them came out waving a...rounded wooden thing. He smelt of food and he was telling me to go away. I stood upright and apologised and I thin he was so surprised he stopped telling me to go away and ended up asking me to join him instead. He'd been making food and he let me have some and we sat and talked for ages. The wooden thing he'd been waving at me was something he used in making his food - he said it was for "rolling out the doe", so I asked him if he was cooking a deer and he laughed and said that it wasn't that kind of doe. We ended up eating the things he made. They were soft and made crumbs, and almost like bread, only sweeter and they had fruit in. They were delicious. And the halfling's name was Birkul..."
Ameena trails off, then abruptly realises whom she's talking to.
"Sorry." she says. "I forget, sometimes. I mean, I forget that it only seems to be the murafu who don't like to stay on the same subject for a very long time. Was there something else you wanted to know?"
Though a certain amount of her attention is on Deephold, she maintains her regular awareness of her surroundings, ears and nose and, to some extent, eyes alert for anything that might catch her attention.
OOC - Pity DnD 3.5 doesn't make use of Passive skills - I could just use Ameena's passive Perception for stuff like this and save rolling. Still, let's see what I get for "general ongoing Perception for anything dodgy or otherwise interesting"...27 (16+11).

You can take 10 in 3.5, which is like passives, but the point is you only get a 'rolled' 10

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
The half-orc lightly patted along now in his sandals with the pixie on his side. What was it one of his brothers told him?... Walk lightly, and carry a big sword. He withdrew his OH Sword, just in case.
"Maybe just prepare us some VI potions Mister Deephold. That'd be lovely."
"So Westian is a cleric." Haynuus continues the conversation earlier that the murafu had left with Petal. "Nice guy. Talks a lot. Really good at it. If I were with orcs there would be less talking and more fighting but the half-elf seems to be able to amiably chat his way out of that stuff. As Ameena mentioned, he wanted to find Deephold..." A dirty upside-down thumb pokes out over the top of the dwarf's head "... And see what's going on with some Grey Dude or something. I was hired to look after Westian, but I appear to have ended up with his valuables instead." He was somewhat defensive about this, as it regularly happened amongst orcs.
"Not sure about this Soul Stone though... Hmmm, magicks and stuff."
OOC - Light? Do we have any? Does Petal want to carry a torch?

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
OOC - So isn't taking 10 the same as a passive, then, technically? Passive Perception in 4th is your Perception +10, and is just basically used by the GM (as far as I can tell...at least, that's what I've been doing in the game I've started running at home) for "the stuff you notice automatically", ie what you'd notice when you first walked into a room, but not for stuff you'd specifically have to look for - you'd need to actually roll for that. There's also Passive Insight (same as Perception - Insight +10), and you can also apply the same rule to the knowledge skills (Arcana, Nature, History, Religion, etc) for the stuff someone's character would know "off the top of their head", without having to think to hard - I don't think a Druid would need to roll, for example, to identify a certain type of tree (unless it was a really rare one), nor should a Wizard have to roll to notice that the funny-shaped staff is emanating a magical aura, that sort of thing.

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
Yeah, I had like 3 posts be eaten over the course of a week. Weird thing is I KNOW they posted and it went to the 'view your last post' or 'return to the forum last visted' screen, so it wasnt like I acidentally hit preview or anything. I have taken to dropping all my posts on Win 7 'sticky notes' because of that. Most of the time anyway. I know the one day I forget will be when it does it again. 4th edition rules seem inordinately both really simple(as in approachable to anyone) and unreasonably complicated at the same time. Or maybe its just cuz a murafu is explaining it (teasing you!)
Petal thinks on Haynuus' words before speaking. "A cleric is what? Word cleric, know I not. Yes, talk a lot humans and murafu do. Like young pixies, chatter chatter."
She smiles at that.
"Well, most all pixies, talk a lot. Curious they are. Different I am, now." The pixie again gets that far away hollow look in her eyes. "Used to be question asking, curious I was. Everything say I 'why is' or what makes'. Behind the next hill, I did want to look. Races of beings, I did want to meet. Now, happy I would be to go home and leave it not." She sighs. "Realize you do not, how precious something is, until gone and never be able to be found it becomes."
She shakes her head at the mention of the Grey Dude, her lips compressed into a thin line and her eyes growing even more shadowed and far away. "Mean you the Grey Lord?" she asks. "A High Lord he is. Or was. Killed him, perhaps Chaos did. Took over. Still confused I am, that gone Chaos is. Unless, working for him these humans might be. Know I not. Know I not even if the same place I was, am I now in."
When the half-orc mentions the soul stone she perks up, some of the pain leaving her face. "Soul stone? Magic stone it is? The one gotten from human mage, Falkor to me he called himself. Deephold has now. Know you what is it?"
As the group movesPetal stays to the back, hovering as high as she can near the ceiling as she flies along. I will be keeping an eye on the rear. As she moves, she keeps a look out behind the group, as her height compared to everyone else and sensitive eyes will allow her to hopefully notice anything sneaking up on them.

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
"No... It is best to ask about the Soul Stone to Deephold. But I shall leave both the knowledge and the power associated with it to others." He thought for a moment. "You sound like you miss your home. I don't know where it is or what it's like, but I can never go back mine. I'm still looking for a place to call home." He thinks for a moment. He'd be happy to live in a cave, a mud adobe, a hut, but what was most important was the people. If they didn't accept him, at least at arms length, then he would never be happy. "I think we could never find 'home' unless we fix this place though. I mean, we'd never be safe if the evil that exists here is destroyed."
"I'd like to meet Falkor again." He paused for a second. "But Falkor was a halfling, much shorter than me, a bit suicidal around black armour wearing soldiers and fireballs." He wasn't sure he'd ever see the halfling again.
As the group moves the half-orc can see Ameena and Deephold to the fore, next Haynuus and finally Petal flitting around in the air at the rear.
