The bika write up is very indepth already! I like the religeon, and especially the concept of the grk-wof as a name and also a symbol of the name. It feels tight and logical together, especially the multiple pairings over a long lifetime.

Given the young adulthood and long life, did you have any ideas for their other stages of life?

Yeah, thats a great idea! Im working on a more indepth religion section and a language section right now. After that, I definatly will write one on life stages.

So far Ive taken a mix of what Growlgra said in Petal's intro story, how our game developed, dog/wolf pack behaviour, and plains native american culture.

Im glad you like it. If you or anyone else have any other ideas on things youd like to see in it, let me know.

Hey, I've added an archive sub-forum to get rid of the clutter (so it's easier to see things like Raixels stuff, for example! :D ). If it's annoying, I can set it to private so it disappears, and can yank out and threads as needed.

Hehe it looks weird having a two-book symbol now on the main page of the forum...I wondered wtf it meant when I first saw it ;).
Incidentally, I have started a write-up thingy about the Murafu, based around some suggested headings given to me by Raixel. But I can tell it's gonna take quiiite a while, so don't expect it any time soon ;). It doesn't help that I have stuff like Divinity II distracting me and making me run around shooting goblins and stuff with arrows and looting funky items and turning into a dragon and flying around spitting fireballs at towers and stuff...

I like the new format. It took me a sec to figure out what was going on though :)

O.O

Well, of all the actions I've seen, attacking yourself as a first move is certainly the most...recent?

Ok, I need initative rolls from all of you. Technically you get a surprise round, Haynuus uses his action to pass across the flask and unsheathe his sword though. That means only Petal gets a single action before her full set of actions (can I get both).

I've allowed some leeway in knowing what each group is doing, though it's a little bit metagamey to decide to look around just in time to see the actions behind you. The timing and intensity is such now that you guys won't instantly know what Ameena is doing nor she you. So Ameena gets no surprise round, just a set of normal actions where all she'll know is something is happening with the grak-grak and combat. And don't include Ameena's first action in your own actions the rest of you.

Good luck! Map I promised these weekend will definitely appear tonight!

I thought the grak-grak was in his natural form? And didn't carry Haynuus's (or anyone else's) face?

I think it took on a slightly wonky version of Haynuus's form after it got up from sitting down when the group decided to move onward through the weird magical area we're now all in. And I don't think Petal actually gave Haynuus her potion, just gestured in his direction with it or something to help intimidate the grak-grak, so is Haynuus handing her his potion, or should that part be rephrased slightly into a gesture for Petal to keep hold of hers for a moment? Somehow I have a feeling we may be needing more anyway ;).
Regarding Ameena's actions...well, of course for the moment she's waiting to see how the swan-lizard thingy reacts to her fruitful little offering (;)). I had already decided at the time of writing that post that she's concentrating enough on not accidentally provoking the critter to attack that she's leaving the others in the group to basically "do their thing", as long as it doesn't mean that she or the reptile thingys get involved for now. After all, if a fight starts with the grak-grak, she has no idea as to whether this might provoke violence in the reptiles even though the original violence wasn't aimed at them, and if she turns her back on them to help her friends fight, they might still decide to attack or something. So she's got to keep calm, focus on the lizard critters, and hope that any fighting won't spill over into her personal space ;).
Anyway, Initiative = 14 (11+3).

Well, it took Haynuus's form, it's just its expressions were more hangdog and aggressive than Haynuus's. It hasn't ditched out of them since, even when it started stalking the creature up front. It just went all predatory, again in a way Haynuus never would.

I thought this was a cunning tactic to lower its hp and then gamble finishing it off with a VI potion if it didn't ditch your form. Given your tactics are based on something else, wanna change?

And Haynuus already had his own potion, just as Petal has hers. Petal would be holding two now. She was standing by with a potion incase he needed it, I think, and her gesture was a 'go attack' - I think!

And ok, I'll count Ameena as delaying for now, unless you want Ameena to ready an action such as running away or being scary or something :)

Ahhhh I see. I thought it had changed back to it's natural state. Darn it, then I'm fubarred-

MAYBE it still suffers some of the effects of the weapon, or maybe Haynuus burns in a show of fairly lights if he drinks the VI potion.
I say I'll keep the attack as it is, and pretend/hope that the half-orc doesn't get too mauled. I will say though that he just popped his own potion at the top of his ruck sack as an action earlier then.

Brain trying to go to sleep already. Might leave the update to tomorrow morning, depending on when raixel posts Petal's combat actions. Oh yes, must fit in the map aswell...

Posted Ameena's section, will wait for Raixel's actions to resolve the start of the grak-grak combat. Hope the map's not needed, quick distracting phone call and updating the other thread seems to have taken all the time! Sorry!

There'll be no update tomorrow evening probably - I have a Burn's Night supper, and the forums will be down for maintenance for a while too.

Well, as Ameena isn't aware there's any actual fighting getting started behind her (she knows the group is interacting with the grak-grak in some way, but not exactly what they're all doing), I can't really have her ready an action in that regard as surely that would require her to be aware of the fight in order to respond to it - anything she does will be in response to the actions of the reptile thingys, at least until combatitive contact starts being made behind her. As we're now running in initiative order, I'm not sure at which point Haynuus's blade will connect with the grak-grak, so I don't know when Ameena will realise they've actually started fighting. Anyway, she's pretty bloody interested in what the reptile critters are doing...I'm not sure whether I should be posting another action just yet so I'll leave it till tomorrow.

Yeah, Ameena's readied actions were for preparing actions against the creatures. Anyway, now Haynuus's and Deephold's actions have been resolved, Ameena can go again. And Petal's delay expires, so she can throw dancing lights if she wishes. If it's between Haynuus attackign and the grak-grak attacking, there might be a retcon needed. Certainly there was room for a penaltry to perhaps let the grak-grak's attack miss, although I'm not guaranteeing it. Also, Haynuus would be close enough his AoO might be effected too.

Anyway, off to burns night soon! :) Wonder if I can get map done before then. Also, wonder if the forums will still be up before I do :p

I had noted down 32 hp on the character sheet, but that was ages ago.... Did I once more completely forget to update it? He'd be down to 11 if that wasn't the case. I assumed that it was damage from Ameena's magic stone surgery attempt and that we'd recovered from that. We hadnt taken any damage elsewhere had we?!

Yeah, we got healed up after we beat up the grak-graks. Actually, I recall that we met both of them, but not what happened to the other one. Maybe we killed it. Lol, I can't remember now.

Haynuus lopped the head off of one so it started to slowly melt. The one you are following is the one Ameena was pig-sticking with VI potion.

Oh, a reminder I'll be off all weekend for my uncle's birthday thingie. So I'll update Friday but then won't be back until later Sunday.

Just incase Raixel misses it before:

Ohh yes, the other one turned into an icky pile of ick, didn't it, yeah...I did remember that Ameena had been stabbidating this grak-grak with the potion-covered knife, just had forgotten what happened to the grak-grak that isn't here any more ;).
Well, depending on whether or not you guys manage to kill it, Ameena might join in or otherwise try to communicate her discoveries about the reptile-widgets. Well, she'll try and do that anyway, it's just a matter of when will she get the chance to ;).

Woo hoo, page 100 in the OOC. And I've read every entry which makes my brain melt just thinking about it.

Yes, I celebrate any even by melting a dwarf's feet to the floor. Birthday parties are fun, but carpet ruining :) And yeah, 100 pages is certainly...quite a lot!

@raixel: Wow, sounds crap! Glad you are all better today and cutting off feet with a vengence. Ok, I meant boot soles :)
