Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
Ameena nods in agreement to this.
"Yes." she says. "I think probably that Westian and Aurek are free - they can fight if they need too. But Helm must be with Soorec, and might not be too...comfortable. And...I want to see him again anyway. And we need to go back to Soorec's place anyway, to get...well, I mean, if it's still there..."
In glancing around, Ameena's gaze falls on Petal. Something about her movements...is that the light?
"Um...Petal..." she says, diverting herself from her previous train of thought. "Is that...have you gone sort of...sparkly? It's like lots of little stars from the night sky have all sort of...attached themselves to you. It's quite pretty...but..."
She trails off, since she realises that it may not be a very good thing that Petal's appearance has changed in this way, not after using magic in this place that seems to twist the stuff.

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
Haynuus glances across to Petal. She already wore a dress that was almost magical in appearance but now Haynuus spotted it. Ameena was right - Petal was sparkly and shiney!
"Ehhmm. We REALLY need to move out of this place. Are you all right Petal? Do you feel a part of this world? Hellooooo?..."
The half-orcs own version of the famous 'detect magic' spell did indeed consist of a Helloooo. It was futile yet for Haynuus it normally provoked a response of some sort or another (he nearly got bitten by an animated chest using those very words). "I think I'll try and get those swanny things to push off then."
He walked carefully up the side of the river bank while the rest of them would work out between themselves why Petal was reflecting light. He decided to go for the 'you're the boss' approach which was one of the possibilities his circlet was suggesting. Haunched down and bending his knees he approaches the new species, or new to him at least. He moves along the rock face in a very defensive manner and when he has their full attention attempts to be as non threatening as possible (nature check) (1d20+1=2)... Of course, being a 7 foot monster with blood pouring out of your nose doesn't help much.
OOC - I can't help but relate how much I enjoy writing all of this stuff up, roll the digital dice, then attempt to communicate the sound of a palm hitting a forehead afterwards. DOH!

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
OOC - Lol damn, I'd been putting this off for the last couple of posts 'cause other stuff kept coming up, and now Haynuus beats me to it...
BIC - Ameena has no idea what Haynuus means by a "swanny thing", but as soon as she sees his movements she realises his intent and darts forward to try to stop him.
"Wait!" she calls. "That didn't work for me - they're too busy with each other...I think they're trying to...make themselves love each other?"
She says this last part rather tentatively, not really understanding the concept she's trying to convey but merely trying to use terms she's come across before in order to try and explain it anyway.
"Look...I'll...I'll try and get past them..." she adds, not feeling hugely confident about being able to do so now that Haynuus may well have caused the creatures to become angry again.
She moves around so that she's between him and them, but facing the half-orc, and gestures with her head for him to move backward. She also takes a step toward him, and then back again, trying to gesture in a way that the creatures behind her might understand - that she's trying to persuade him to back off. She might as well give herself the best chance she can of getting past them herself, after all.
"You'd best move back." she says. "Otherwise they might think we're all trying to attack them, or something."
(OOC - This next part is only applicable if Haynuus takes the hint and moves back away from Ameena and the creatures)
Then, turning back to face the creatures, Ameena makes sure she has her gaze turned downwards (it being rather difficult for a rattish creature to lower their whole head, low as it is already), and then runs toward them, keeping close to the wall and aiming to just run past them, keeping as much distance as she can from them and yet at the same time watching them as best she can through her peripheral vision, ready to dart aside or leap ahead if the nearest one tries to attack her.
OOC - Acrobatics to dodge if attacked = 20 (5+15). Note that Ameena will try to tumble past the creatures if they go for her, not dodge back the way she came. Either way, she'll get a few metres beyond them and then stop, unless one of them has started chasing her - basically she'll go as far as she needs to. This is what I was gonna do a couple of posts ago, lol, but the whole sparkly-Petal thing meant that I didn't post it last time like I meant to since I wanted to see how she'd respond to the "omg you're sparkly" comments

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
Petal looks down at herself when Ameena innocently points out that she has gained a sparkle. Her eyes grow wide for a few seconds, and then she brushes at her arms, completely ignoring the conversations of her companions.
"This is what?!" she asks no one in particular while brushing at her body and hair with her hands.
"Come off, it is not!" she shouts, as the motions grow frantic. She looks around wildly for a few seconds and spies the placidly flowing river. Without thinking, she zips over to the river and dives in(away from the swan-things). After being underwater for a few seconds, she walks up on the bank. She fans her wet wings very quickly, causing a loud buzzing noise, and a fine mist rises from them as the water droplets are scattered and evaporated.
Once her wings are dry enough to fly, which is just the span of a few seconds, she takes off and flies back over to her companions. As she approaches, the party notices that what they originally took for water droplets are in fact the tiny glittery crystals, still clinging to her body and hair. The pixie's opaline eyes are wide with panic.
"With Chaos, infested I am! Off of it, get me!!" she cries in fear, all the while reflexively brushing at herself. The scared pixie flies little jerky loops in mid air, as if she is going to somehow "shake off" the taint of Chaos and cause the crystals to fall off of her. Slowly, she appears to regain slight control of herself, and instead hovers in mid air, arms wrapped tightly around her chest and looking miserable.

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
Haynuus's plan should have possibly worked, as far as he knew. The circlet might only later suggest that one creature's deferential behaviour was another's fighting stance. The swan-thing on the land had stopped fussing over the water cretaure, and instead turned its reptilian gaze upon Haynuus. It honked when Haynuus crouched down and came too close, and in the blink of an eye - and with deceptive speed - the thing had waddled across and flicked a long neck to snack Haynuus soundly on the head. The creature's head did not seem all that heavy, making it plain that the thing's neck must be made of nothing but muscle. Well, except for the bits that would let it eat and breath, of course.
I was going to simply have it charge Haynuus as a bullrush, but realised it was more likely to just attack with its neck before Haynuus got too close. Sorry, you take 8 hit points in damage! And Haynuus has a nasty headache, I am sure!
Ameena came across swiftly to explain what was going on, to her mind. Given the aggressive reaction to Haynuus, it still made sense. Haynuus had adjitated the creature quite fiercly, and it honked and hooted with strange loud sounds, hissing too. Ameena made her sprint passed it, and although it tried to spit something green and sticky in her direction, Haynuus had apparently proved a great distraction. Ameena made it to the other side of the creatures, though also into the twightlight of the torchlight Haynuus had.
Still, there did not seem to be anything else to worry about, and the creatures did not seem to go charging after Ameena once she had made it passed. Both still seemed quite flustered, hugging the edge of the bank and twisting this way and that to look to the creatures surroundign it.
Of course, Ameena had been forced to break away from Petal when Haynuus had rushed off, and this was exactly the wrong time for Petal to register what Ameena had said. Deephold was left to struggle with the worried pixie alone.
"No! The magic is not Chaos's magic! I refuse to believe Chaos's magic would have come so swiftly to bind with my boots upon my uttering a prayer to Larethian! Calm pixie, calm! Our friends are in danger!"
The above is for Petal, read if you don't mind the spoiler. Anyway, that seems to be a perfectly place to settle. The group is split around the swan and where ther grak-grak fell, the swams are all aflutter ,and Petal's starting to freak out
Ameena, you'd need to roll another good acrobatics check...actually, it seems even a poor one works well...to go back to Petal, or you can keep checking that side of the critters. Haynuus, obviously you are better placed to fall back.
And Raixel, I'll be interested to see if I've just driven Petal in to further terror or given her a way to combat the terror. I'm hoping for the former personally, but we'll see

"Of course you are infested with Chaos's magic!" came a voice in Petal's ear, petulant and small. "Why do you think you can still see me? I thought you wanted to see me! I hate you!" Petal could feel the thump of a sulky boot on her psyche.

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
Unfotunately for Ameena, she is already halfway past the reptile-creatures by the time Petal seems to realise that she doesn't like being all sparkly. She stops as soon as she can, turning back to see that nothing has pursued her, and stand upright to gesticulate with her short forelegs in the pixie's direction.
"Petal!" she calls. "It would be better if you stayed calm! Just for now, at least - look, you might make them angry with you. Come over here, maybe I can help - you can still fly, after all. But I think we'd all better just move past, quickly. If we can get far enough, I don't think they'll follow - they'll go back to what they were doing."
I hope... she adds, silently.
She wishes she had another apple, or something, to offer the creatures, but she now has no more food left, and she supposes it would be a bad idea to start searching the plants for anything that resembles a fruit or an insect, considering the way things seem to be in this region. She just has to remain where she is and fervently hope that the others will follow her movements and try to get past the strange creatures as quickly as she can. While the nearest one seems to be the main aggressor, Ameena nevertheless keeps an eye on the one in the water, in case it takes any kind of offensive action against anyone. And since she's now a little further out from the group than she might perhaps want to be in this strange place, she keeps an ear and a nose out for trouble further away, too.
OOC - General Perception check for anything that might be worth noticing (juse in case) = 23 (12+11).

Ouch!!! Was the shout Haynuus heard. As it was a whack to the head, he only realised a few moments later that it was HE who was generating the exclamation marks.
A little confused, dazed even, he took a defensive step back. In the confusion he had noted the green spit of the creature and so was a little unsure if asking people to run past behind him would work. What he really wanted to do was shout MOVE! and let the swanny thing with the thick neck decide what to do. Instead he just mouthed a prayer that the gods of the hive mind would pass on his suggestion. He still didn't feel as if in total combat at the moment.

Petal ignores what is happening around her, although she is hovering out of the direct reach of the swan creatures. She appears to be lost within herself.
Spoiler
"What? No!" She sounds confused for a second in her own mind. Confused and lost. "You are not like Him! Although....if you are a part of me, I guess HE is a part of me too, and has been, right? I dont hate you. I like you being with me. I just dont want him to be able to control me, or hurt me...or you. Is this stuff part of Him too?"
Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
For Raixel:
The vision faded as Deephold was gently trying to shake Raixel. "Noble pixie! Come back to us, Ameena and Haynuus may be in danger! Ameena is shouting for you!"
Spoiler
Petal could feel the pressure of some emotion, as if the figure of mini-Chaos was sulking so hard at her she could hear it. Luckily, apparently that proved to be a difficult task to keep up. "That's just air. Or dust. The rougue mana doens't have anything of...Him... in it, its what ...He...removed from it. Or what it let go of itself. The magic doens't have boundaries, nor order anymore. You need to be careful!"
Petal could almost see the little figure poking at her ankle in her mind's eye, bend over with its Helm almost about to slip off each time it tries to touch her toes. "I can't see it, but it's there. If you can hear me, then you didn't leave the place where His power was keeping you. Not fully" She could see him better now, standing up and shuddering. "And you took the plunge into that strange man's mirror. All oil and blackness. Like he was enjoying...His...prison." Chaos paused. "I mean, I wasn't frightened."

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
Ameena doens't seem to be in immediate danger, the creature in the water drifts out a little, hissing and hinking itself. The one on the land stands and hisses left and right, waving its long neck as Haynuus backs away.
Still, for the moment the creatures are staying where they were - the spit Haynuus saw flying does not seem to be getting used again. More interestingly is that because of the new position of the creatures, there is actually more space to rush passed them. Although should they risk it? Petal can fly around, if she stops freaking out, but what about the currently unbooted and slower dwarf?
Ameena notices that as she gets passed the creatures, she can still smell them strongly. Very strongly. Infact, more strongly than she could from the other side. It only takes a few more moments of distractedly testign the air to realise that she can smell more of these creatures behind her too. Not rigfht bwhind her, but still...surely if the scent of them can carry in the deader air of the dungeon, then the hooting sound of the two creatures beside her might carry to their kin.
About all she can sense direction=wise is that it doens't appear to be right behind her. There is a diffusion to it, as if the scents from behind her are drifting over the water. A small comfort if they are on the other bank, given their ability to eight wade or swim with such ease!
Ok, sicne everyone is being very defensive, then nothing is being provoked. Haynuus has some tactical tactics to think about here, perhaps - especially to do with Deephold, Ameena was offering assistance to Petal, and Petal can take it or stay lost in her thoughts!
Ayway, I've also perhaps hinted that if you guys had gone to the other bank - perfectly possible - then you could have avoided these two, but might have encountred more. As with all things, I'm never goign to dictate a solution. Each way will usually have consequences and trying to get passed two here might save you a tricker encounter later. If you can get passed these two!

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
OOC - I'd probably have gone for us all just crossing over instead of trying to run past the critters as Ameena has just done, but given the fact that neither Haynuus nor Deephold are likely to have much luck at crossing deep water (heavy armour and all that), I didn't bother mentioning it. Obviously Ameena can swim fine and Petal has the advantage of flitting about wherever she bloody well feels like flitting to, but unfortunately the two of them are hampered by the chunkier guys who spend their time clomping around noisily, shouting at stuff and either zapping it with holy righteousness or chopping it to bits (or both)
.

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
So im a pixie now? LOL I'm small(5'0" 90lbs), but not THAT tiny.
Petal comes back to herself, noting that in her fear, she has scratched red furrows along her arms. Even through the redness of the irritated flesh, the tiny glittering crystals still sparkle. With an act of will, she forces the fear down and looks around to take stock of her situation.
"Freaking out right now will not help me or my friends. Later, perhaps, I can deal with this unbound mana and the implicataions of what I learned. But for now, it will not harm me." she thinks resolutely as she reflexively vibrates her wings, a pixie's reaction to stress.
She notices Deephold near her speaking soothingly, the way one would try and calm a frightened child, and Haynuus holding off an angry swan creature, while Ameena looks on from beyond where Haynuus stood in a defensive posture on the other side of the agressively hissing animal.
"Sorry, I am, to startle you I did. Scare, I did mean to not." the pixie says loud enough that everyone can hear, her pale blue-white skin flushed with shame at her outburst and loss of self-control. "The..." she motions to the sparkles seemingly embedded in her skin, at a loss for what to call them. "...things, thought I a sign, that by Chaos corrupted, become I had." She smiles wanly. "But, better now, I have become. Later, deal with these...things, I will. But now, to leave this place and the safety of us all more important it is."
The sorceress looks at the honking and agitated animals. "An idea, have I. To dive bomb them I could, with small rocks I could drop. Safely staying out of their reach, i could by overhead flying. Then rush by, you two could, when the attention of them, on me it was."

In her minds eye, Petal smiles at the little High Lord. She can feel the crashing waves of fear receding from her mind as she looks at the little being standing there tiny and imperious, afraid of nothing. "I will be careful, for both our sakes. And I must not give into the fear. Thank you, my friend" Nodding goodbye at the small Chaos, she breaks the mental link and comes out of her trance.
Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
Petal's suggestion was perhaps better directed at Deephold. Haynuus was, for now, happy to just back up and move just a little. He really thought getting past these things on this side of the bank, and fast, was the most reasoned thing to do. "Come Mister Deephold" he quietly said, hoping to hear the patter of dwarvern feet move behind him.
OOC - Just full defence for now.

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
See what Ameena says, but Deephold will probably be persuaded if for no other reason than to get Petal to keep from going into freak out mode.
Raixel, how do you want to do this? Is the 'attack' defensive, so you are trying to get their attention, or offensive, to drive them back?
I'll either need a bluff and an acrobatics check for defensive play, or an attach roll and intimidation roll for offensive attacking. You might spot that there's two rolls for two people there, and you might spot the acrobatics/intimidation rolls also do double duty to keep you safe
Ian, I assume Haynuus is keeping back to let Deephold have first crack? Do you have some contingencies for Deephold getting through versus Deephold/Petal getting in to trouble?
Ameena, what about you?

Ameena looks at Petal, relieved that the pixie seems to have calmed down for now. She resolves to try and say some helpful things as soon as she can, when the group isn't at risk from being chomped by the local reptile-creatures.
"Don't hurt them." she calls, worriedly. "They were busy - we're interrupting them. They haven't done anything wrong - they're just living their lives. I hope we haven't caused them too much trouble..."
She casts an anxious glance toward the creatures, but is careful not to make eye contact should one of them look her way. She hopes that they haven't already been disturbed too much by the presence and/or actions of the group. Then she looks over toward Haynuus and Deephold.
"Don't hurt them!" she calls again. "I mean...even if they attack you, please don't try chopping them into bits, or anything!"
OOC - If Haynuus and/or Deephold end up basically charging forward to try and get past the creatures, Ameena will move back as far as necessary so that she isn't in their way when they get close. Obviously she won't back up into anything unpleasant, if there is anything in the darkness (which of course won't be darkness once the others bring the torch closer) that she might not want to step on/in. Ian, please remind Haynuus of the existence of the term "non-lethal damage" unless you want to upset the fuzzle

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
Petal smiles briefly to herself. Here they were, being threatened by goo-spitting Chaos-changed creatures, and Ameena was worried about hurting the damn things. For a second, the pixie feels regret for the innocence lost in her life. That once, she too would have been concerned for the harming of creatures that were doing nothing more than defending themselves from what they percieved as a threat to their territory. Petal hopes Ameena never changes. That she never feels the pain the sorceress did. That she always keeps the empathy for all living things.
"Ameena, worry not." Petal calls to her. "Hurt them I do not wish do. Hope, I do, that forced to, we are not."
While it seems more expedient to Petal to just slay the monsters, considering that they are most likely unnatural Chaos-tainted creatures, she doesnt want to see Ameena distraught. So, she flies away from them and scoops up a handful of river pebbles, trying to keep to ones walnut-sizes or smaller. Enough to get the thing's attention, but not enough to cause damage.
"Hope I do not, that these rocks, stick to my hand, they do" she says, grimacing as she flies back over the where the creatures stand agressively posturing. She flies high up in the air and then swoops down on them, throwing rocks at the land-bound one while staying out of the reach of the creature's long neck and ready to dodge if a glob of green goo flies her way.
"Ali! Kaiossa-neta'iiri! Mi akute'ni!!" she shouts as she dives at the creatures, flinging rocks at their stubby bodies. She tries to get them focused totally on her, diving in and zinging rocks, then backing off and moving away to try and force the creatures to give Haynuus and Deephold a chance to get by.

Deephold looks concerned at Petal's plan, but seems relieved that Petal has at least come back to her senses and is taking action. Trusting to the pixie, he moves into position to rush passed the aggrevated creatures, seeing Haynuus holding back to allow the dwarf to move first.
Petal's run at the creatures has the desired effect, they both focus on her to the explusion of anything else. The creature in the water drifts back on the current in shock, while the other creature stands firm. It slips a little on the edge of the bank, and so Petal more than manages to avoid getting within range of the unpredictable swing of its head and neck. The thign starts hooting aggressively at Petal, while the water-bound creature gives smaller hoots in the direction of the land-bound one.
Clutching his mace to himself, Deephold winces as he rushes across the distance to where Ameena is standing. He spares a glance to Petal and the distracted creature, but does not stop until he is by the murafu. Once then does he stagger and fall to a knee, wuickly recovering. Ameena can spot blood on the ground, where the dwarf has obviously encountered something sharp during his rush. He does not say anything, turning to see how the pixie and the half-orc are faring.
Deephold will be standing far back along with Ameena, so Haynuus has enough space for his run. The creatures will be distracted enough that Haynuus won't get attacked, and Petal will be safe. Although of course Haynuus won't know this if he wants to do something other than run passed.
Depending upon Haynuus's actions, obviously Petal will need an exit strategy. Will she merely fly away - again, metagame wise the rolls will allow this, but would Petal know? - or will Petal do something else to dissuade any further pursuit?

OOC - Hopefully Petal wasn't so out of it before that she picked up on Ameena's comment that the creatures appeared to be engaged in some kind of mating ritual (although obviously as Ameena herself doesn't understand this particular type of behaviour, those aren't the exact words she used
) which the group's arrival has interrupted, and that therefore they'll hopefully get back to it once the group has moved far enough away...

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
With the aerial acrobatics going on, Haynuus starts to move to the side obviously now neither posing a threat no a nuisance as Petal is doing. Gesticulating towards the dwarf to get a move on he shifts further away while maintaining his guard. He doesn't want to leave a large gap between himself and the free-footed cleric so is not moving quickly. It was then he sees out of the corner of his eye the dwarf moving rapidly towards Ameena.
Meanwhile Petal just appears zingy to watch and it's a shame that she was probably swearing profanities in her own tongue as it spoils the show! He moves away now, towards the rest but still keeping his guard up.
OOC - Just assume Haynuus has a +4 to his AC as all he is really doing is slowly moving away. He doesn't want to fast though. So, if personally attacked, it's a defensive posture all the time. If the the others gets attacked, then could he aid another in his defence? Haynuus wants to take up the rear.
@Ameena Haynuus once tried to apply non-lethal damage to a turkey... He didn't know that you were supposed to remove the head before filling it with the stuffing but it still tasted great after 4 hours in the oven (the first 10 minutes of which the thing was quite excitable).

It's the gamble I'm afraid, if Haynuus is defending himself, he will be slow to come to the recue of others. And if he is watching out for others, he's not as swift at defending himself. So you could total defense for a round, or ready an aid another, but not both in the same round. I'll assume you are totally defensing it unless otherwise stated. You'd basically have to wait to aid another until the attack happened by the soudns of it, but could then aid another for the next round. You could have readied an aid another for Deephold when he runs, but that would lose the total defense for that round.
Anyway, all in all everythign seems fine
I'll wait to see if Raixel thinks she needs an exit strategy before I resolve anything else, but it all seems to be going swimmingly

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
Once Petal sees that the orcish man and dwarf have gotten by, she backs away from the creatures in the opposite direction of the party, hoping to lead them a few steps in that direction. When they are far enough away, she flies up as high as she can, nearly touching the cavern ceiling. She hovers there for a moment or two watching the creatures, hoping they will lose interest in her now that she is no longer tormenting them and out of sight.
If the creatures go back to interacting with each other and/or defensively facing the party again she will angle down so that hse flies over the creature's heads high up and ends up by the party. Hopefully then they can all back away slowly and not aggrivate the animals any further

Ameena is relieved to see that not only have Deephold and Haynuus managed to join her safely, but neither they, nor the strange creatures, nor Petal have been injured in the process. She starts moving slowly away from the reptile-creatures, careful to keep an eye on both them and the way ahead in case she should accidentally step close to anything that might appear harmful. She glances up at Haynuus and Deephold as she does so.
"Well, I'm glad you've made it." she says, speaking quietly so as not to attract the attention of the creatures. "We'd better get away from them, and hopefully they'll go back to what they were doing, and Petal can just fly over and rejoin us..."

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
Haynuus creeps along the side of the cavern, worried for Deephold but just as concerned about provoking a reaction by getting too close. Petal's bombing run seems to have done the trick however, and Haynuus is unmolested as he siddles as slowly as possible and yet as fast as possible under that restriction towards the rest of the group.
As Petal hovers up out of neck reach, the creature on the bank seems to notice Haynuus beyond. The smaller creayure is now over by the other bank, and quietly honking to the larger. The bakside creature gives a final high-pitched hoot at Haynuus, and one to Petal, and then scrambles into the water.
To start with, the creature basically sinks down until its body is almost submerged. Then it opens its mouth and utters some strange sounds. Its chest seems to inflate ot a greater side than before, and it slowly bobs up, onviously floating. It drifts backwards, obviously keeping its place in the river's flow with deceptive fast movement of its legs. It gives a single glare at the group, and turns back to regard the other creature about half way through.
The creatures settle in the water on the other side of the river, fussing over each other. Ameena's apple, dislodged by the creature's descent, sadly bobs around abandoned until it finds the edges of the eddie it has occupied. It is slowly swept away downriver.
Aww, poor gift
The group - minus for the moment Petal still hovering high - regoup.
The green butterfly, subdued all this time since the group's descent, flies across from where it had hovered away from the strangeness of the creatures and the grak-grak's anger. Once more comes to life as it either seems to realise that the group is unguided, or perhaps is simply happy that the foul grak-grak is gone.
It dances around Ameena's nose in some strange greeting, or perhaps to get her attention, and then flies forwards, then back, then forwards, and then back on to Ameena's still wounded shoulder.
Aww, and there we go. You're done with the creatures. Perhaps. And the green butterfly - whose position and actions I had meant to give, but was basically subdued and not engaging with anything - is back to helping.
Onwards?

Re: DM themed play-by-post D&D game : STORY THREAD
"Ohh the butterfly is definitely not one of the pop-in-your-mouth normal ones." Why Haynuus always had his mouth open around butterflies is another, best untold, story. However it was definately indicating something. "Maybe we should continue moving in this direction, and put a little distance between us and those swannie things." He was glad that he didn't have to chop something else up. Murdering the grak-grak was almost 'ok' as it was an abomination to life anyway.
He next sidles up to Deephold, empty pot in hand. "I think Ameena and mees will be needing your divine assistance when we move out of this place." A fluttering of his eyebrow movement then follows. Casting more spells here though would be a very bad thing (tm) however, so they would have to wait.
Finally it was time to cast a comment over to Petal "Great job! I particularly liked the aerial acrobatics to distract everyone."
