I actually do own (and watch) a TV...I feel so left out!

I don't watch much, because 99% of what is on is just utter rubbish (soaps, reality tv, etc.).

But occasionally there are some gems...some BBC documentaries in particular can be excellent, especially their natural history stuff. I am really enjoying Human Planet at the moment.

Also I try to watch the news once a day, and at times like now when there is a general election it is good to see the leaders debates and so on.

Sports is another one, I am not a huge sports fan but I enjoy international football and rugby. TV is important for me for the 6 nations at the moment.

And at times it is nice to be surprised with some show that you were not expecting to watch, like a good Star Trek TNG episode.

Then again I could probably see the majority of the things I watch on the internet or dvd, but not all. Still, TV can be useful, so long as you are selective in what you watch and don't just sit there blankly staring at whatever they decide to throw in front of you!

Heh, anyone else notice the board has 1335 registered members? If we get two more, I guess then we really will be elite... :P

Oooo! DM Nirvana -- where the screamers are loud and the shanks tasty. Never a dry waterskin in the house, and you can find the weight of anything by touching it to your eye!

Maybe this is time to prune out some of those zero-post lurkers. That would put us back by around 250 members... so your Godot analogy would be even more perfect ;)

Nothing wrong with a zero post lurker - I was one for about 6 months and now look what happened to me.

I lurked here for about a year before I registered. But once I did, I havent shut up since. ;)

So theres no real point in registering if youre not posting, as you can read the board without being reg'ed. I say delete all 0 posters who havent logged in for 3 or so months and all 1 posters who havent logged in a year or two. But thats just me...

The point of being registered is that all the new posts show up though.

Anyway, unless someone proves the member database is doing harm, I have have no desire to prune it. I'm happy to allow people who posts ages ago to come back, and those who just like to lurk and read only a forum or two (like probably the custom dungeon forum or one of the engine forums) keep doing that.

Hmm..we could sacrifice all the zero-posters as an offering to appease Ian, our new God. Just an idea.

Nothing too special for a God to promise us our 1337th member, I suppose :)

My hovercraft is full of eels.

I will not buy this tobacconist's. It is scratched.

Or I don't know. What was the question, again?
