@Sophia:
If you feel really bored, take a look at Allegro's website. Some 5.0.x-versions are out since November.
And I think it's now really compatible to the old stuff :shock: . Did you give it already a try?
Be careful not to destroy your development setup!
I'm planning to give it a try with some other older projects. Maybe I can spot some traps.

Allegro 5.x code is not compatible with Allegro 4.x code.
I've used Allegro 5 in other things, but porting DSB to use it would be a big task, because it is quite different.
