Re: Happy Birthday!!!
I suggest that on behalf of Trantor we:
- Submit a formal proposal to the UN to celebrate 8 June as The International Banday.
- Try to brib... I mean persuade the people from The Guinness Book of Records to make a new entry with Trantor as The Most Banned Internet User.
- Send Trantor to represent our community in the Summer Olympic Bans taking place this year in London (between the Olympic and Paralympic Games), especially in his strongest discipline - the Bantathlon.
- And finally, in order to support our efforts, to apply for an EU subsidy based on Paragraph 5 of Number 2435 EU Regulation 2007, which came into operation on March the 18th 2009, revoking Regulation 7542 of the EEC Regulations 1984 (*).
-----------------------
(*) Explanatory note: These Regulations are to make provisions for prescribing the amount of sport subsidies and financial allowances payable to the banned internet users. Regulation 3435 of the EEC 1984 ("the 1984 regulations") substituted a new regulation for Regulation 3214 of the 1954 Regulations. Regulation 3214 of the Banned Users Amendment Regulation 1984 ("the 1984 regulations") further made amends Regulation 2145 of the 1954 Regulations by increasing the maximum rates of attendance and financial loss allowances. Regulation 7345 of the 1984 Regulations revoked both regulation 3234 and 5789 of the 1971 Regulations, Regulation 5654 being a regulation revoking earlier spent regulations with the effect from 1st April next. These regulations preserve Regulations 2325 and 5122 of the 1971 Regulations by revoking Regulation 9860 of the 1984 Regulations.

Re: Happy Birthday!!!
Busy. Workload didn't really increase compared to the years before, but somehow, it stresses me more. Apart from that, nothing new - still the same job, same girlfriend, same apartment etc.
I feel a bit burnt out on computer games and the internet in general, which is one of the reasons why I don't annoy all you people here quite as much anymore. I've shifted towards boardgames quite a bit in recent times. I'm still very curious about Grimrock and all the new dungeons that keep popping up and will probably play them eventually.

Re: Happy Birthday!!!
Well glad you're ok, and as long as you' stick your head back in from time to time, it's all good

Re: Happy Birthday!!!
I've also been bloody busy lately. I don't think I've ever been looking so much for the summer holidays as this year.Trantor wrote:Busy. Workload didn't really increase compared to the years before, but somehow, it stresses me more.

Re: Happy Birthday!!!
Wait a second...happy birthday Jan!! Almost got overlooked there, and you weren't going to say anything!
I did not see your name on the board index though - makes it hard to keep up!
Edit: Assuming today actually is your birthday. If not, please ignore this message.
Second edit: maybe some people have not put their birthdays into their profile, causing them to be overlooked. This is a very serious issue, and I feel that we should ban everyone involved, plus Trantor.

Re: Happy Birthday!!!
Oh, thanks a lot, OhBrother! It's really my birthday today - I was born on Friday 13 June (*).
I didn't put my birth date into my profile intentionally - that's simply because I actually don't like celebrating my birthdays so I somehow keep it a "secret" even in my real life (well, my family knows, lol). I don't know why - perhaps because I'm slightly an introvert and a shy person and I fell oddly "embarrassed" or strangely out-of-place when people talk about me or congratule me or anything because then I don't know what to say (**) or where to look or what to do with my hands and my palms start sweating and my face start sweating and I look like a complete idiot and so on. So I better shut up about my birthday.
(*) I think that this information explains it all.
(**) So someone says "Happy Birthday!" and then, after several seconds of imbecile silence, I say something like "My condolences" or "You too" or something along that lines.

Congratulations on overcoming the forces of bad luck to fight your way in to this world *cough cough* years ago! So, did you bring cakes? We have cakes at work on our birthdays!

Re: Happy Birthday!!!
Happy birthday from me too! And I can totally understand you Jan, I also don't enjoy my own birthdays. I can live with it today, but a few years back, my birthday was actually the one day in the year I dreaded the most, for basically the same reasons you described.
