[RTC] Project U-D: Underworld Dreams (Work in progress)

Post by Adamski »

Image

The U-D project aims to create 4 mini-dungeons where to experiment new mechanics. The story is a prequel of ToC: the 4 guild masters arrange the final battle against Lord Chaos before trapping him in the Junius' Tower.

Te second mini-dungeon is Underworld Dreams, a fairy-tale style dungeon. Your aim is to pass the sleeping forest, find the astral palace and ask the ancient oracle Ghillian where Lord Chaos takes shelter. Obviously there are lots of new graphics, enemies, spells, items and... riddles!

Even if I finished more than a half of the game, the work I need to complete this 'dungeon' is quite challenging. So I'd like to submit a poll to know how many people are interested in the development. This poll will last 2 weeks and at the end I'll decide if I keep building. You are invited to express your opinion. Please.

Thank you :)

Please Finish
I Know from your previous games you always expand what is possible with the engine.
You also seem to be able to expand the graphic capabilites of the engine.

I offer my help in any way I can.

YES I WANT!
The fish and the tiger (pictures above) tickle my curiosity. Are we still playing DM? I'm not sure anymore, especially when I see what you've done before (ToC, Upside/Down).

You have made a great work in the past, and if you like doing dungeons, I love to play them. They always tell a story, and you keep creating new components... It's always a pleasure to try to finish them.

PS: BTW, you didn't ask for it, but I'm also waiting for the "Nine worlds" dungeon (sequel of ToC).
Nadir was a very intriguing character in ToC, and I want to know who he is...

Thanks to everybody :D

I think it's worth going on if more than 10 people are interested.

@Darth Mouse: yes, probably I'll need your help with the text...there are some 'books' in this adventure, your support for ToC has been really helpful :)

@Misplay: after Underworld Dreams I'll complete the sequel of ToC, where all the mysteries will be disclosed. I promise It'll be surprising... above all knowing the real identity of Nadir and his purposes ... anyway there is a little clue at the end of Upside-Down ;)

How long before we can begin enjoying this dungeon? I hope soon. I just finished skyrim, and thoroughly enjoyed it, but there is nothing quite like DM, and more specifically the challenge og playing any of your dungeons. They stretch the envelope! They are frustrating, yet with a touch of whimsy, like a good bottle of wine. As a matter of fact, They may drive me to the cellar as they have on more than one occasion. Please put as much effoort as you can find time for. I have been awaiting something new from you for quite a period of time and the hint of this becoming a reality has sparked my enthusiasm, but patience is my unending struggle, So ... Sally forth, forthwith!! Festoons! Gadzooks! This is no time for anything resembling a red herring... a ruse... a cunnard....I have been hoarding my magic boxes for this eventuality. My Casque'n Coif is at the ready with my steady speedbow and quiver with ample slayers. Game on! But excuse me for the moment. It is time for my meds, followed by a short nap. But THEN The quest continues! Festoons!
