Re: Cool stuff you've found on the web
CS, you're right, the iron on idea is not as good as the mall idea. To do light colours on a black shirt you need to use a white iron on, which is usually only letter size anyway.. and it means printing a black background behind it and cutting around the shape, or dealing with the white background another way.. Screen printing places can often do lighter pigments and place it clean over the shirt, they often last a bit longer too.. However, for a single print, it's often more expensive.
I was debating making shirts in the past, however it would have original DM art and not directly from the game and I didn't think it would be nearly as interesting for people.. and i wasn't just going to take something from the game or existing work and try to sell that as that would be illegal.. but this is a topic to cover in a different thread I think. Those other existing DM shirts are cool, but I suspect not authentic, given the originals are probably long worn out..

Re: Cool stuff you've found on the web
cows, yeah, I wasn't really thinking about selling them, but why hasn't somebody approached the ones with the rights and ask. the only thing that will come of it is if they say yes, it would spread their art and game much further. if it were me that's what I'd do, it's over 25 years old, why not bring it back. Grimrock was a start, it was only duplicating the original, I strongly believe in the future that there will be a new DM that will contain more involvement other than puzzles, monster kill and graphics, it's just a matter of time before it happens. I think Unity can do it, someone has to screw around with the program more, perhaps an easy to use gui will pop up, I am wishing that will happen.

There's hardly anything to discuss here - the author should go and see his doctor about this.Bit wrote:This one surely gives some stuff for a discussion:

Re: Cool stuff you've found on the web
It is important to realise that picking the 'top' rpgs is heavily dependent on the person's character, their gaming history (when they started playing games, what ones they stumbled across at the right time, etc.) and countless other factors. It is a highly subjective exercise that will always lead to disagreement, and we should be willing to listen to alternative opinions.
That said, the author of this list is demented, and everything he believes is wrong. Objectively wrong.

Re: Cool stuff you've found on the web
yeah, very skewed.. Trying to make sense of the order.. just seems scattered..
Re: Cool stuff you've found on the web
Really tried my best to refrain.... since oh_brother's comment on subjectivity is so obviously true, but...
DM at 49? No mention AT ALL of the Bard's Tale series?
I may be a sucker for the old ones, but games with this level of influence on RPG in an "ALL TIME" list, so low or not included?

Re: Cool stuff you've found on the web
Well, objectively, having a console port as "best RPG on PC" is wrong. I've never played Dark Souls, but I know it's not a true RPG either.
I'm ok with the other games in the top 10 I guess (meaning: they can fit in someone's top 10 RPG on PC) even if I would not put SS2 and especially DX in there. I consider them as an excellent game and as "the best game ever made" respectively, but they are not trully RPG.
And well, DM at 49 in a best RPG list... 'kay... The guy was forced to put it in the list and putting it as 49 sounds just like he meant "it's actually an awful game".

@oh_brother: That's a great little post there, really made me laugh. Yep, the author of this RPG list is demented indeed.

Want to share one of my favorite bookmarks. Pretty sure that some of you will enjoy it too. English available, top left is the selection. Didn't want to post it in english, because it uses the google-translator - which works pretty okay here.

In most of the riddles you have to find out strategy patterns to solve them - that's the challenge. It's pure logic.
Masyu, Battleships, Slitherlink, and some more, those are my favorites.

lol, Political correctness is good only 50% of the time, the right way is in the mind, all minds are not the same.
The video was great, it is exactly what is screwing the cistum ohvar. Embrace difference but it should not be above 1+1, lol.
This is what has been happening to North America, the minority groups have taken control, no matter what people do, if it is not abnormal it can't be correct, and it is the media who is growing it.
