OK, so mine was
Legend of the Sword
on the Amiga, a combination of text adventure with a point and click GUI. I don't remember much about it other than I didn't complete it!
Oh_brother, is that one of the
Virtua Fighter
games?

No - similar style game, but a different franchise.

I think oh_brother's is one of the
Tekken
games, though i couldn't say which.

Hmm, I recognise that OB's is one from the
Tekken
series because I recognise the names of the characters, but I couldn't say which one. I've only played the third, though, and I think the graphics in that piccy maybe look worse than I remember? So maybe the first or second game.
Mine was from a game called
Titus the Fox
.

That name sounds familiar too. I must have seen it in some magazine.* And yes, mine was
Tekken 2
.
*(After a bit of digging I see that I did indeed have the issue of
ST Format that reviewed that game - funny the things you remember!).

No idea about that one Saumun. It looks kinda amateur though. Any clues?

I'd be struggling to give any clues for mine, other than it was a fairly standard shooter for ST or Amiga (possibly others... can't remember).
Late 80s. Varying level graphics, and not much in the way of power-ups. I had an ST at the time and quite enjoyed it.

Gambit's is
Hexen II
.
The numbering of that series was weird. It went
Heretic, Hexen, Hexen II, Heretic II

Yeah, I never understood that either. The first three games form the distinct
Serpent Riders trilogy
. The last one was a continuing story for the main character from
Heretic
. Why not just name them
Heretic (or Hexen) 1-4
? I guess they followed the Microsoft approach to version numbers!

Oh_brother:
Alien Trilogy
Saumun:
Blood
I played a demo of
Alien Trilogy
and it was awful. Played all of
Blood
and it's addons and they were great fun. Dark and weird, but fun

I vaguely remember Jan's as a kid, and i think it's something to do with a sword... but at that point my memory fails me.
This next one wasn't everyone's cup of tea (due to certain content), but i liked it... Tense and atmospheric.

That's right. And the rest? The title isn't too long, but a bit obscure. Anyone?
Yours is
Jason Voorhees walking to mow a meadow early in the morning II ?

Pff, what is that weird game, Gambit? Come on, you can't expect us to automatically know everything. I mean, what even is that? Some weird grey walls with some kind of reflectionless mirror stuck on? And what kind of name is "Zed", anyway?

Yeah, I agree, it looks awful and hopelessly outdated. Poor low-res graphics, small and largely empty game window, lot of empty space around, interface scattered all over the place. Symbols under the "Zed" sign meaningless and direction arrows illogical. No "Help" icon, no "Tutorial", no nothing. Boooo!

Apparently it was quite popular, in fact it was huge in the late 80s. Still no guesses?

Hmmm... not sure.
Did any other games of similar style follow it?
My last one was
Manhunt
.
