[RTC] Dungeon Master X (DMX)

This is simply DM with extras (hence the X) - Hereafter known as DMX.

Can you find them all? (You get your score at the end).
Some of them are connected with a couple of different things at the end, with specific tasks for each level except HoC and Chaos (if you choose to - you can still complete it as normal), and others that are not connected to anything in particular.
There are clues to the specific tasks if you can find them, but they’re deliberately vague. The others have no clues and will need to be hunted down (again... if you choose to).

Hi Saumun, I had a go at DMX. Only done the first level but got bored. Same as DM with something more but I could not feel interested in. Sorry about that.

I found a scroll with numbers, I found an alcove with a coin I cannot get witch seems to be the reward, wtf ?

It wasn’t so much a full project, more something knocked together to add a little extra.
The coins are on every level except the HoC and the Chaos level. You have to do something specific on each one, and there is a hidden clue for each.
There are plenty of others that don’t contribute anything. They’re just there to be found.
There are differences at the end, depending on whether or not you get the coins.
Otherwise, it’s just dungeon master... but to be fair, it was never meant to be anything major.

The scroll with the numbers is a complicated looking clue to something. There’s also another extra scroll in the HoC.

A lot of the extras that are not connected to the coins is just a case of checking everything, as if you’d never played it before.

Forgot to mention.... there are restrictions on all offensive spells, so you can’t go around fireballing everything.
You load them when you find a spell scrolls. Potions are also limited.

Just in case you play the first version:
There is a typo in the numbers you certainly found. Read 18519.... ( instead of 18517..... ).

The above issue has now been fixed.
If you have downloaded DMX before today, the scroll full of numbers on the HoC level.... the fifth digit on the top line should be a 9, and not a seven.

Hi saumun

I started your dungoen, it's very similar than DM.

I Found the glue of the 4 first level but i only succesfully to get the coin of level 2.

- For level 1 "Explorer" i walked on all tiles of the level and inspect all pits but coin is still locked
- For level 2 "killer" i get the coin
- For level 3 "consumer" i tried eat all food of the level and stand in front of the coin with all my team full of food and water,the coin still locked
- For level 4 "collector" i tried keep all loot of the level, the coin still locked
- For level 5 i did'nt find the object needed by :
"i protect your mind ..." => i tried all kind of helmet and necklace
"I run but no longer run" => i tried all boots, missile and ven/full flask

i found a tips to have extra attack spells: You don't limit ven potion

For the coin on the level 4 it's should be good to write something like "i want your treasures" or "the collector" on the wall near the pit to understand what we should do. Thx to DM map which enumerate all items, because when you give me the solution i already collected all treasures.

There are twelve possible riddles in the riddle room. Four are chosen randomly at the start, so you’ll likely have a different combination with each new game.

At the riddle room the first helmet I had found, worked right away. 3 right objects open the door, a 4th one gives a key. A right object only clicks once, then you can take it back

A the 4th object, an alcove opens next to the door opened by the first 3. This alcove contains the key.

You do not need all of these keys, I think you need 3 out of 5.

I just went in the riddle room. It has it's 4 alcoves and a fifth one at the left end side of the opened door.
This alcove is hidden until you've solved all of the 4 objects.
This is standard DM. You can see it on official maps.

I worked for me. DMX. I got the alcove opened and the key was in there.

BTW, Have you found Teece and Zeminus ? I have them in my champions.

Are you sure all four alcoves clicked?

I won’t mention why, but you need that key if you want to get the sar coin on that level.

Oh the alcove works, i used a wrong object . Orignal DM was too old in my minds.

My guess was true about this key is needed to get coin.

In paraelle i restarted the game and found Teece but don't find zeminus ....

Finding Zeminus is difficult even if you have the object with the clue. It involves deciphering the scroll full of numbers on the HoC level.

The clue is "wizardry is a journey that everybody should take"
Does it possible to decrytpe numbers without using computer or calculator ?
Does numbers have a link with acsii code ?

No need of calculus to crack the scroll with numbers. It does not use ASCII code.

The scroll mentioning wizardry is a clue to something different.
For the numbers... it is as terkio states above.
The premise is simpler than what you mentioned, but working it all out may not be as much.

i found it's quite easy.

I was start on somthing hard, like a xor operator with the key wizardry base on decimal ASCII code .
