I went in the gingerbread house, but then loaded an old save in the rainbow mines where I got through path 2... but I’m probably going to do the same, and do the gingerbread house first.

Grate ‘B’ door is on the other side of the start of path 2. You get a limited time to reach it after pressing the button.
I think you’re expected to open the whole corridor, but you can sneak with only the first three walls open. You have to be fast though. Took me a few attempts.

I would advise everyone playing this dungeon to read the books in the lower library that show what books can be found to read to Gillian. I also advise to leave the pouch on the far left to hold nothing, make sure they are empty.

Jeez... It’s out of the frying pan and into the fire with this.
I decided to stay in the mines for a bit. Can someone please explain the deal with the mine carts in ‘Tricks & Traps’? The way they turn away from whichever way you’re facing when they’re on the turning circles is really getting on my nerves.
Have I missed something that makes this stop? What is the pyro for?

HAHAHA, I know exactly what you mean. It frustrated me but it is all in how you approach the cart, think about it, save often

I’ve tried backing up to it and turning quickly, but it’s no good. I’m not fast enough.
If this is the only way, then it’s probably a game breaker for me. Please tell me there is another way.

you need the big hammer like Thors hammer to hit them once they face the right direction

Saumun I can't remember where it is off hand. Like we were saying there is a lot to remember. It also works on monsters too, so the monsters will never be able to trap the party easily ever again. This dungeon is so amazing, a lot of thought went into it.

No other weapon does the same thing, it's the same as a push like with the tables, it's blue and very heavy

I starting rainbow mines by "triks and traps" with the solid key...
I finish and fin the blue crystal but no more solid key.

You have same problem or i make mistake ?

For TRICKS AND TRAPS i don't used any wapons..
I pushed the trolleys on each pad.
becareful because when you touch the first pad bombs machines appear.
Finally you can access the gas chamber.

You get the other solid keys from the paths in the control room.
In Tricks & Traps I killed all the bombs, but when the trolleys are on a turning circle they turn away from me. It’s too quick for me. I click one, but it turns before I’ve clicked push or pull.
Did this not happen for you?

you have to use your hand and touch the cart.
Then choose PUCH or PULL.
you have to bring the trolley on the ground. it makes it turn 90 degrees.
It pushes or pulls like a table, no problem

Yes, I know... but it turns away too fast for me to use push/pull. Or rather, I can still use push/pull but the cart is not the direction I want it, and in a position where I can’t get it to a turning circle.
I’m past Tricks & Traps now, but had to use the Judgement Hammer to do it (thanks CS). Can’t help thinking that the hammer is not the intended way to do it though, or it would be a gaping potential dead end (I had to use the ice cheat again to get the hammer).
Could do with Adamski returning, because I’d like to find out how it was intended to be done... or if Jahmiann or Paul H could reveal how they did it.

I’ll retract my words, and go with “an alternative solution”.
Saved it last night near the end of path 3.
Question: Is there another way around the flames in the middle of corridors, or do you just have to step in and hope you don’t die?
I found the fake wall near “Bypass”, but it doesn’t seem to lead anywhere helpful.

Have 6 rocks/crystals now. The only door I haven’t opened is “The Nest”.

I tried the path 1. I'm blocking at the 3rd pad because I don't know how to deposit the ruby crystal ... even by creating blocks of ice.
On the path 2 I am in "LEARN TO FREEZE THE COLORS" and also I do not understand ...

You both have the stones, you know about the colors and the alternation of them. This is a difficult area, timing is everything here.

first put yellow to pass the trap. Next deposit a purple in the wall to close all the traps. you need yellow crystal to continue

but i'am stuck in the end..."GET RID YOUR BOTHER...." clue ?
and also i can't open path 3, i used 4 green crystals and nothing ???

for the path 1 i don't pass the last 2 traps....clue ?

No, I was referring to something different. I’m stuck at the end of path 3. The flames that are in the middle of long passages. Can’t get around them. Even using a water crystal the flames come back as soon as you pick it up.
Thought I could maybe throw it through and follow if I could get the timing right, but that doesn’t seem to work.

How have you got four crystals without completing a path?

to have 4 crystals i use 4 solid keys...1 first then i found 3 more in path 1 and 2...

how your finis path 1 ? (2 traps in the end)

I don’t know which traps you mean. You should get two solid keys and a vacuum fuse from path 1.
Unless you mean the two pits at the end?
If so, then the answer is that you don’t need to do anything. They can be closed from the other side in a different path.

You can’t close them from path 1. Ignore them. You can open them later.

i pass by the purple in alcove but after....ok i go with yellow crystal in teleport...but many teleport after...no way to pass
