Hi brave adventurers,
I have a problem when trying to use the Atari version of DM.
I can't find any .dat file anywhere and, as a consequence, can't replace it by a Dmuted file !
If any of you is able to help me, she/he will have all my consideration and maybe my personnal receipt of the fireball worm in rock sauce with screamer slices.
Tx
Chris
No .dat file in atari version ??
Re: No .dat file in atari version ??
I assume you mean it is all one .adf file
The problem is that this is a compressed file that comnatins all the dm info
You need to extract all the info (like the .dat) from this file to use dmute on it
people like gamibiut know how to do this, and have explained it already...until someone can help, if you check out the dm web message boards dmute and archive sections (http://pub50.ezboard.com/biansmessageboard69920) then you might find the entire process there

Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

Gamibiut? Sounds like a chewy sweet!
I only know how to to it from Amiga files - I haven't tried it for Atari, but the prinicple is the same. You should certainly do as Beowuuf suggested and head over to the link above - I'm pretty sure I posted all the details on there at some point.

Welcome back brave adventurers,
Thanks for the link. I have understood the problem.
I searched for some time into emulation-dedicated sites but without finding any "file-sharer".
Having the information without the util I need is like having the firestaff without the gem.
Another link with save me (again).
Chris
