This is probably too obscure to debug but leaving a note if anyone else runs across it:
I have a situation where sometimes running Test in DSB will cause the DSB instance to hang at the Establishing link to ESB step.
This happens reliably, but only if I have played Quake 2 in the current OS session. Reboot and everything is fine, so it isn't hard to work around. It's just weird and inexplicable, and I thought I'd leave a hint for anyone who has the same happen (I assume there may be other software that may trigger it)
Hmm. I should also check if DSB works on its own I guess. I'll try it the next time it comes up.

I had some hangs, I think it's because of tcp port lock.

Re: [0.79] DSB in ESB hang under weird circumstances
This is strange but not unexpected. Unfortunately, it's a pretty experimental feature that I admittedly don't have the resources (or the time) to debug to the point where it's trustworthy, especially since DSB wasn't really initially created with a fully interactive editor in mind. It's fun when it works, though!

Yes it's a great feature !

Yep. Great feature: well worth not playing quake while debugging for 8-)

Unless you're playing quake on ESB generated levels
