I noticed this a while back but thought I should report a bug where couatls don't have an attack sound for some reason. It only seems to affect couatls as far as I can tell. Also seems to be present whether I have 'Attempt Using DirectX' on or not. I guess it is a bug with the executable as I tested with a version of CSB supplied found here https://dianneandpaul.net/CSBwin/CSBSweep_996Minutes.7z which has the graphics.dat and other dat files marked as created in 2000. I made a quick recording example and put it here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XBPA1i ... sp=sharing.
Happy to play test some more if you look into it!

Re: Bug: Couatls have no attack sound
I don't remember them having an attack sound even back on the Atari, and since that's the version used by CSBWin, this is presumably accurate?

Hmmm, I thought they had the attack sound shown here http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=node/783#toc40, even on Atari. I know there's no movement sounds, but I guess you're right and there's no couatl sound too. I thought there was in the past but maybe I'm remembering it from Conflux.
Ok so no bug after all!

Re: Bug: Couatls have no attack sound
I think they do in RTC, because I do remember playing a version in which they made an attack sound, and RTC was the first version of DM I found when I fancied playing the game again some time in the early noughties and decided to look online.
