Hello from France

Post by DarkN3mo »

Fell into computing at the beginning of the 80s on the fantastic 8-bit machines (At the age of 12, I started the basics in 1982 on Laser 200, then I touched the Sinclair Spectrum, then Amstrad CPC 464 where I have done quite a bit of basic and Z80 assembler.
Then a bit of C64, Then I discovered the Amiga 500 in 87 and it was a revelation. It’s just the most magnificent Computer ever created.
Having gone through several models i did ASM and AMOS, E, Blitz programming.
Unfortunately, I had to sell everything (1200 + Blizzard 1230, SCSI, CDROM, multisync screen...) at the time due to lack of means.
I'm developing mainly on AMOS for the moment while taking up assembler on the side.
I program for the pleasure of coding, hoping to finish my first game.

Hi there :). So did you ever play Dungeon Master, or have joined because you just found it? Your intro post just looks a bit on the spammy side, is all...

Of course I've already played Dungeon Master, but I've been on the Amiga since 1987. That's what made me want to do Cthulhu Project. This forum is great for getting me back into the swing of things and finding extra tips.

Okay, cool. Sorry, we've just had people join in the past who did nothing but spam stuff they wanted to sell and never contributed anything to any discussions about the subject matter this forum is dedicated to.
Never played on the Amiga myself - we had an Atari. And these days I can replay any games I want to thanks to emulators :D.

Yes, emulators are a great help.
I use it for my development.
I may have real Amiga, these machines are magic.

I don't know if I can, but maybe I'll share my in-progress gameplay here from time to time to see what enthusiasts think ?

Sure - there's a "Creative Endeavours" section for stuff like that :).
