Hello everyone !

Post by PenderD »

Hello everyone,
I’m Pender and I’ve loved Dungeon Master since the early 90s. It was one of the first games that really got me into puzzle-solving and mapping. Recently, I started experimenting with custom dungeons and mods, exploring CSBuild, and I’m excited to share ideas and creations with the community here.

Hiya, welcome to the forum - we also have a Discord (there's probably a link around here somewhere that I've posted on a previous occasion, but I can get you a new one if you want) if you want to chat "live" to some of us. I used to play the game on the Atari back in the day, when I was about six. I did finish both DM and CSB at least once. Then in the early noughties when I was in Sixth Form and the Internet was now a thing I went looking online to see if there was a downloadable version of the game somewhere. And there was - I found RTC and joined the forum for that, and then some time later all the fan forums got merged together into this one (which looked way cooler back then as someone had made a custom skin for it that was sadly lost when the forum software had to be updated some years later). Eventually I switched from RTC to CSBWin as the latter is a direct port of the Atari version and "feels" much better than RTC (which was made from scratch).
Still checking in every day and saying hi to all you new dudes - a lot of them come in looking for DnD and clearly haven't read the forum description (same happens on the Discord...but some of us do do DnD/tabletop RPGs in general) but in between those we get people who can tell us fun stories and otherwise reminisce about their time playing the game. Sometimes we even get people who've only just discovered it and are yet to experience the joys of fumbling around aimlessly wandering in CSB and falling down every pit as they flee from worms and stuff :D.
There are plenty of custom dungeons for you to check out here if you want to see what kind of stuff other people have come up with (Conflux is a classic), but otherwise feel free to chat about the games and stuff :D.
