New interview with one of the Dungeon Master 2 creators

Post by g4ndy »

Dear dungeon masters, i had an opportunity to interview Bert Huntsinger (alias Bert Huml) recently. He is the guy responsible for majority of the levels in Dungeon Master 2 (and many other things). I was motivated by the fact that there is not much info about DM2 development available since everyone is always obsessed by the DM1. Tune in for the 2.5hr long interview: https://open.spotify.com/episode/1QobJb ... pJji_YjL-w

The "Frankenstein" CG animation mentioned in the interview that got Bert Huntsinger hired at FTL Games in 1991 is visible here:

That was great ! thank you for this interview g4ndy ! Though, it seems to be quite a long time ago to remember all these things about DM2 ;-) (For one, half-step move was already added before Interplay version).
Thanks Christophe for adding the link for video; were you already aware of this tape beforehand ?

Ah! No prior knowledge. Actually I just searched 'amiga world animation' on YouTube and found it quite easily.

This was a really interesting insight, thanks for undertaking this interview. I especially liked the anecdote about Robin Williams going to the FTL offices to pick up a copy of DM when most of them were out at lunch! :D
