Walls

Post by Ian Clark »

I think a good idea would be to make some walls so that they could be destroyed. You could make some walls weaker than others i.e. put cracks in them. After a few good fireballs, the rest of the wall crumbles, revealing a new passageway...
Ian

You can achieve this effect in *DM* already (without the cracks on the wall) and in RTC already (with the cracks). Just put a movable wall on a square and a teleporter, activated by fireballs (a pad which is activated by a fireball and activates a teleporter on the same square) pointing the teleporter at a single square (enclosed on all sides) containing a monster on a "constant weight" pad. After a number of fireballs the moster dies releasing the pad and the wall opens....

The DM engine is very clever and you can do an enormous number of tricks with a very limited number of "active" items; the only limit is your imagination!
