Wow. Nice conversion but now you have that completed, are you or will you be working on advancements to make it better that the original Amiga version. The JAVA version has done this but your would be nice also. And, hey. How about going off the track a little and adding completely new things like new walls and wall candy in later levels.
That'll be nice.

Eye of the Beholder.
Sorry, an addition. How about walls like EOB?! They were nice especially when you got to later levels and got luxury walls with gold trimings etc.

Re: Eye of the Beholder.
I think you need to read through the forum a bit before posting!
RTC is still under construction, but it has been designed with flexibility in mind. All the images, sounds etc. can be replaced, as can new dungeons be designed - at least, this will be the case when v1.0 is released. There is a huge amount of information in the suggestions column that may or may not get implemented in the final release.
New maps can already be designed (although not yet as the format has not yet been published), most images can be replaced (but not walls or interface elements yet), and sounds can also be replaced. Check out the .txt files that come with RTC to start getting an idea of what can be done.

walls
well walls are about the only thing that can not be changed *YET* the only other thing is interface stuff (icons, portraits, and the like). However things like the wall items (cracks, moss, altars, and fountains, etc) was well as floor items and objects. Like pits and plates or clothing, keys, etc. Also Monsters and spells can get new life.
So you see it's mostly done.. just a little longer. I'm just waiting for them walls.. then I'm in bussiness!!
If you want to bother.. there are a few bits on my web page. Doors, and some wall items. Not all done yet but they will be eventually. I have some new sounds too.. but I haven't added them yet.. ?)

Didn't George say that wall./ceilning were already defined per level, just we can't see it in DM/CSB as that isn't part of it (and it's more complex than normal so not included as an override)
like you can define wall=wall01.bmp
floor = floor02.bmp , etc
I seem to recall this in another earlier thread...something to do with wall/floor features

Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE WHO MADE THE GAME WHAT IT WAS - GREAT!
