DM 2 had:
1. buying and selling in shops. The shopkeeper was a monster that would come to s specific table when you went to it one was for buying the other for selling. You could use items on the table as currency as well if you had enough items to cover the cost so it's like a trade thing. If you hit the shop keeper you found he would turn on the fire ball shooter located to your left or right and ran away forever. Then his trusty gaurd would kickthe living $#!T out of you.. if you survived the first fire ball that is. This shows that actions were linked to dammage of a NPC/Monster
2.Monsters that carried out activities for you. You had Both monsters that would retreive items that you could contorl where they went from the map and mosnters that would protect you. Mosnters that would go pic up a specific type of item and throw it into a fire or sometimes get cranky and throw them at you(even though you saved them)
3.you could conjure mosnters witha spell
4.Visible mosnter genrators that you could destroy though they often came back
5.rechargeable weapons or enchantable weapons (done by placing items in a pot to recharge or create)
6.movebale objects tables, standing torches, barrels
7.Destroyable and moveable containers (tables and barrels)
8.torches and fires that could be lit to illuminate the general area if you walked away from them the light would get gradualy dimmer..
9.item activated transporters. you needed to be standing on one with the item in hand and then activate it
10.destroyable walls
11. different graphics for walls and backdrops. Out side the backdrop was replacing the ceiling it had 4 different views
12. knockback, larger creatures could push you around.. by the same tolken you could push smaller ones around.
13.object specific containers. only gems and coins can go in the wallet.
I'm sure I'm missing stuff but someone can fill in the blanks
