343 Critical errors, 178 warnings! v0.19

Post by Gambit37 »

Using v0.19, just thought I'd do a quick test of my kid dungeon to make sure itwas still OK and that's what I got! ^^^

Was it really necessary to change the N,E,S,W etc. parameters so that you now have to write them in full? Surely it's more efficient to keep it the way it was??? Curious....

I was removing the obscure position number codes (as used in DM.txt V0.18 and before) and decided to remove everything at once.

If it helps it took less than 5 minutes for me to convert the whole of DM.txt and DM_Original.txt to use the long format - some judicious use of search and replace in notepad and it's very quick!

Presumably, having only one style of parameter makes the code more efficient?

You were right too, it didn't take long to convert at all - though I did end up with a few odd quirks, mainly in the hint oracle section's apostrophe's = they all became SOUTH!
