I think this isn't quite right in RTC. Party members are considered overburdened when they are carrying more than half of their weight allowance. I'm fairly sure it wasn't this low in DM.
Also, once the champions weight allowance is yellow, the party moves very slowly, much slower than in DM. It seems more like the speed they would move at if a party member was in the 'red zone', not the yellow.

Re: Overburdened champions
I agree, I was playing RTCv00.3 with my favourite party and noticed this instantly. The movement is too slow, and worst of all is the turning speed - I don't recall turning being so slow even on badly burdenend characters.
Also, I can't say I have noticed (I will check) but do the champions get an 'adrenaline boost' on hectic action? Always in DM the weight allowance went rocketing up for a while if characters were constantly attacking, and then settled after combat. There never seemed to be any other reason for this (slightly increased strength, for example).

Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

Re: Overburdened champions
This (in my opinion) is a bug in DM (which I havn't copied in RTC) - it can be reproduced as follows:
Simply run about a bit, do some fighting or something such that your stamina reduces below 50%. After this point the characters maximum load starts to increase. In my opinion this is a bug (it should decrease as they get tired) which is what's implemented in RTC; as stamina drops (below 50%) then so does the maximum load. The only difference is swapping a plus for a minus in the code (which is why I think it's a bug).

Re: Overburdened champions
I agree with you George - I've noticed that before in DM and thought it was pretty strange.
However, I still think that it's wrong to set the weight gauge to yellow when a champion is carrying more than half their allowance. I'll double check this, but I'm sure DM allowed something a bit higher than half.

Re: Overburdened champions
Ok, I have noticed that characters carrying weight goes down normally, I had just adssumed the temporary boost was some cool feature of DM - you must agree it is handy during a fight to be pumped up enough to move faster, incase you need to flee. If it happens with normal movement then that sucks. Sigh, all these little things I used to think were cool 'realistic' feautres (adrenaline boosts, aerodynamic objects) that turn out to be bugs in DM : (
I just checked quickly...and for Stamm with no stamina loss, his maximum level is 32.5 out of 52kg before going yellow - exactly 5/8ths

Re: Overburdened champions
I concur. I've looked at a few more champions and it appears to 5/8ths.
