Sound (v0.06)

Post by Gambit37 »

Just had a quick play of 0.06 and found a few issues with the sound:

* No 'thump' when chopping or fireballing a door
* Party does not make a pad 'click' when weight is required to activate (seen at 'This wall says nothing' and the first boulder/pad puzzle.
* Mummy scream is way too loud compared to other sounds
* Still no 'magic' sound when using Fuse on the Firestaff
* Stereo effect of doors too pronounced - should be slightly more subtle

The starting 'enter' sound still loops too long. Also, chopping at a non-bashable door has the right sound - the swing then thump...so it sounds like this is being interrupted for bashable doors?
Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

I don't remember being able to here sounds during sleep, as with RTC - anyone with a good memory tell me if I am wrong?

You could hear sounds while asleep but they went to half volume and since everything was happening so fast it was a little strange hearing fireball launchers and the shuffling of rats for instance was pretty funny since it sounded like a machine gun almost.. papapapapapOW! :) Damn those rats were stupid.. :)

but merciless...i wouldn't laugh at them until i had the inquisitor, hardcleave, and some nice large mana to back me up ;)

If that's the case them the RTC is fine, I think it's muted too....I suppose, who'd want to sleep too soundly in the dungeon anyway

Another small bug - I noticed that Trolin and Antmen when killed do not make the 'dink' sound when dropping their clubs. Skeletons DO make the sound when dropping the shield/falchion.
