DM differences (level 13, v0.09 w/0.08sav)

Post by beowuuf »

type: differences to DM
properties: sounds and effects
priority: debatable

There are no sounds for the final Chaos scene (it was explosions, fuse sounds, then telporter buzzes in DM).

The generators for black flames have an instant reset, when DM had a delay befroe generating new flames. This isn't a bad thing, I thought it made the level more interesting.

The amiga/atari also displayed characters finishing stats - could this be done aswell as the game stats (which is cool!).
Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE WHO MADE THE GAME WHAT IT WAS - GREAT!

On a similar note - can you let me know what those stats (things like weight thrown etc) were? Failing that, just send me your RTC file (it saves them away in there as part of the high score table!). I'm interested to see what kind of weightings each of the stats should have to determine your final score.

Is that was The Grey Lord meant! He actually said I had completed the game already, or something, when I haven't - so there is a bug in the high score checking there.

I'll send the .rtc file as all I remmeebr for weight was lots (I threw items at Skeletons and Troilns alot - in my defense because I've played DM too much! I wanted passed them!)

Finished again

Post by beowuuf »

And my scores were truely pathetic - but I did ok (i thought)l! In a difficulty of 7, I killed everything bar 3 demons in the closed off room, I went hand to hand with most things, threw spells when spells were required, threw stuff only when it was an easy but long kill. Had a nice rounded party (front guys low on priest levels, but eh).

Do you want to see the *.rtc file again?
