crash boom bang

Post by kilack »

ive just found this clone, i havent played dungeon master in a long time but i played it a hell of a lot on my old atari st..

I was just on level 2 and tryed to drop a rock monster down a pit which caused the game to crash..

just thought id report it, is this a known bug?
should i not open pits while monsters are on them?

Welcome and I hope that RTC brings back a few ST memories for you!

Can I ask which pit you tried to drop it down and I'll go and investigate what the problem is?

Did the pit appear before the crash? If not, then this sounds like what happened to me on level 8...so it's a general dropping monsters down a pit crash
Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE WHO MADE THE GAME WHAT IT WAS - GREAT!

Sorry I should have included all that infomation, I work in software development myself so should know better :) .

Yeah its great to see Dungeon Master back and I can play it on windows 2000 which is great cause I can play it at work heh. There just hasnt been a game since Dungeon Master with the same feel.

OK i don't have map co-ordinates or anything.. but I can explain where it is.

on level 2 in section #5 (room of the gem) as soon as you go thru the gate into this section there is a pressure pad that you can stand on or put items on to close/open the pit, I lured a rock thing onto the pit then stepped off the pad and the game hastily exited, I hope that helps.

Great work though on the game. Thanks a bunch for bringing back DM, I thought I was going to have to drag my ST out to play it again esp for Chaos strikes back which i never completed but am determined to now!

As I am new I am wondering how often new versions come out etc and is this going to be a thing you will support for a while etc? do you have great plans for it? :)
