Fighting Golems I found quite different compared to FTL-DM. I was used to battle those golems I couldn't crush under a door by berzerking with the Inquisitor and the Hardcleave, hitting often and doing huge amounts of damage even without Ku-&Ros-potions, which of course enhanced this even more.
In RTC on the other hand, I almost never even hit a golem this way, the probability to hit with berzerk is almost zero, while using less aggressive maneuvers has at least a slight chance to hit. I resorted than to stabbing the golems with a single character of my 4, wielding the diamond edge. This also works, but I find it hard to imagine, that you'll beat such a heavy fortified foe like a stone golem with tiny stabs rather than great blows.

Melee damage and probability to hit
Parting is all we know from Heaven, and all we need of hell.
Re: Melee damage and probability to hit
Melee damage in general is far less than in FTL-DM anyway, I used to do 200 or 300 points of berzerking damage, in RTC it is at best a fifth of it.
Is the weapon damage shown what you do before or after subtracting the enemie's armor?
Lord Chaos: Although in FTL-DM it was not possible to kill Chaos with normal violence, it was at least possible to hit him and do damage to him. It was much fun to kick the bloody bastard and he was the best sparings partner in the entire game to gain some experience. In RTC I didn't manage to hit him once, probably it is not even possible.

Re: Melee damage and probability to hit
Golems - the damage shown is indeed the damage actually done (i.e. after subtracting any shielding effect from the monsters armour). I'll have a look at the beserk thing though as it sounds as if it should be higher.
Lord Chaos - As you guess, I've implemented Chaos with perfect armour.

I think, being tangible but immortal made Chaos appear more real. And players who do not know every detail of the game already might take a while to realize, that they can hurt but not kill him
Komm zur bunten Seite der Macht!
