I finally worked out what has been niggling me about RTC since forever. I guess it's not really a bug, but certainly a difference from DM.
If you're being attacked from the side by a large creature, you can't see it. Now that might seem like an obvious thing, but in FTL DM you can see the very edge of monsters that are attacking you from the side. Depending on the monster, more or less of it is visible. Since I now have XP its difficult to get screenshots from PC DM, but I'll try.
In the mean time, I haven't compiled an extensive list yet, but certainly these few exhibit this behaviour:
Worm, Rat, Scorpion, Dragon.
No view for monsters attacking from the side.

How did you get a screen shot of PC-DM at all before?

Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

OT: Screen capture DOS
Do a search in google for "screen thief dos download" and snag that.
Unzip it into your DM folder, and when you want to play DM (either in pure DOS or in a DOS session in Windows) run it first by typing ST. Then run DM as usual and when you want a screen grab, just press Ctrl-Alt-T. A numbered grab will be created in the folder.
I've just tried this in XP and it works fine, and have captured all the monsties who show this behaviour. I'll email it to George.

Re: OT: Screen capture DOS
in NT and 98.. and I think in 2k as well I just hit printscrn and then ran to paint or photoshop and there it all was.
Anyway, it sounds like this makes sense too.. if you are being attacked you should be able to "see out of the corner of your eye" so to speak

Re: No view for monsters attacking from the side.
I didn't send you the images yet; did you get the full list? Monsters that show a side view are:
Couatl
Dragon
Oitu
Rat/HellHound
Scorpion
Worm
I've captued all these images (exept hellhound) if you want them, but as you've fixed it I guess you've done that already. Let me know if the images will be useful.
