I think I'm talking about level 00. One level up from the corbum pillar. The alcoves in the walls look very strange; As if a mixture of an ordinary and ornate alcove.
I even took screenshots of this, with CTRL-P!

This is fixed simply--there are duplicate alcoves on the same tile, some square, some ornate. Look at objects 1501-1506 and 1600-1613.
This brings up an interesting point though - I looked at some of these alcoves from the side and clearly the ornate alcove is too large as it doesn't fit the wall tile - the offsets need to be adjusted:
