Bad spell position

Post by Lubor Kolar »

I play with only one character so it is important for me if incoming missile/spell is on the left side or right side. Sometimes I see that monster on the right side of tile fires a spell, but that spell is on the left side of the tile. I think it is bad and should be fixed - monster which fit only one on one tile could decide if spell will be on the right side or left side, but smaller monsters couldn't.

Also the grafix of attacking monsters should point to the side of the character they are attacking, so you can see who of your characters is attacked even if that characters does not get hurt.

I think this is too difficult to implement (more graphics etc.) and even with uncertain result. I think that monster on left part of the tile attacks leftmost member of the party (and the same for right-aligned monster). So IMHO there is no need to modify graphics because it makes sense who was attacked.

No, it is not that difficult, for these grafix are already used for both sides (just mirrored), but are applied randomly, that's all.

I agree, this is an annoying bug (haven't seen it yet) - i haven't noticed it in previous incarnations as i have play tested earlier RTC/CSB with one character so spin too
Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE WHO MADE THE GAME WHAT IT WAS - GREAT!
